The business analytics and intelligence program at IIM Bangalore is a very prestigious course, but according to my brother's suggestion, you should keep some points in your mind before opting for the course.

You should be well aware of the course curriculum. It must include practical knowledge of the course along with various tools and techniques.
You should also attend the main industry topics delivered by experts from the industries.
The quality of education and mode of delivering the topics is another important aspect.
Both online and offline modes should be adopted to ensure the effectiveness of the course.
The duration, of course, should also be kept in mind, which is 6 months, if you devote 10 hours per week or a maximum time of 1 year but not more than that.
You should always consider fees. It should be from 2 to 3 lakhs for one year but not more than that.
Often the placements are the major concern of all the students, the college should provide the basic guidance for CV building and answering the interview questions innovatively.

To begin with, you should get some formal education in the background but doing a Business Analytics course specifically is not necessary. You can join online classes like Edureka for the same but you will need to be highly self-motivated.

Once you have 2 years of professional experience, you will have a lot of opportunities. As a fresher, you might struggle a little initially so look for some experience at the side and you will be able to get into your analytics career easily later.

One of my friends did the BUsiness Analytics Intelligence executive education course from IIM Bangalore and was able to provide some information regarding the course.

Pros of BAI course at IIMB -

You will get to learn from the same faculty who teach in the degree programs.
You will have the chance to network with professionals from diverse backgrounds like mechanical engineers, sales professionals, data scientists, and research associates.
The skillset you obtain in the BAI course will prepare you for managerial roles that require a deep understanding of analytics, both technically and strategically.
The entry criteria are strict and this ensures a quality peer group.

Cons of BAI course at IIMB -

You will not have the opportunity of campus placements. You must seek out opportunities on your own.
The course fee is not cheap. The total fee is around Rs 8 lakhs for an 8-month course which essentially takes place on weekends only.
As it is a certificate, not a degree, you may not get treated the same by employers.

So, the course is definitely good. However, doing it just for the brand name won't help. The corporate will think of the value and knowledge you bring to the table too.

The BA course has been recently initiated at both institutes. Without second thoughts, Great Lakes has top-notch faculty who handle the courses meticulously. But the competitor IIM Calcutta makes the discussion more difficult.

The only difference between the two courses is that IIM Calcutta has probably started the BA course because of its flagship PGPM program under the IIMC brand. Whereas Great Lakes BA is another flagship program. So the focus might be better.

Choose IIM Calcutta if you are willing to attach yourself to its brand name for the rest of your life.

Which college should I choose between NMIMS MBA in business analytics and TAPMI PGDM core?

Choose NMIMS MBA in business analytics if you work in analytics or want to. However, if you're not interested in analytics, you should choose the TAPMI PGDM core program because many people convert to analytics without knowing anything about it, which is a bad sign.

If you're interested in analytics, select NMIMS to develop professionally. If you're unsure about analytics, the TAPMI PGDM core programme will give you several options in different industries.
