Having to know some people from both these institutions, I can say that both of these colleges are specialized in two different fields. Let me share some facts about both these colleges I gathered by interacting with them.

  • VJTI is one of the prominent engineering colleges and NITIE is prominent among the top B-schools of India.
  • NITIE is recognized for its extensive alumni and professional professors who are experts in their fields.
  • Project Management at NITIE, in terms of studies, is the best among the B-schools in the country.
  • From Project Management at VJTI, 18% of the students are placed in prominent companies.
  • NITIE is known for its high management extension.
  • The placement and faculty of VJTI are not up to the mark when compared to NITIE.
Categories Project Management at NITIE Project Management at VJTI
Course Fee 12.53 lakh 1.65 lakh
Highest CTC 22 LPA -
Average CTC 14 LPA 5.5-6 LPA
Recruiting Companies Deloitte, Dabur, KPMG, Marico, etc. Bank of America, Barclays, Capgemini, Crisil, etc.

Hence, there is no comparison between VJTI and NITIE. But one of my friends has recommended NITIE as in many aspects it manages to be better than VJTI.

It's a subjective question and mostly depends on your profile. PGDMM would be advantageous, if you are a fresher, especially with a mechanical or manufacturing background. It is better in terms of securing a good profile, a good package (Avg. 12 LPA), and robust manufacturing domain command.

A few years of work experience would be preferable for the PGDPM course, but it is not required. It's a safe option to play for both freshmen and those with a little experience because it improves your profile, package, and adds the rich experience of a top MBA school - NITIE.

NITIE is famous for its excellence in the field of Operations Management. But SIOM would be a good option to pursue this course. The college has earned awards and recognition with a USP syllabus.

The faculty members have a broad mind in terms of studies and cooperation. They help the students in their fields of interest.

SIOM has a strong alumni network. They have ties with the industries around Nashik which helps the students to have good industrial visits.

The placement opportunities are good and are getting better every year. There are big brands and companies that visit the campus.

Categories SIOM
Course Fee 12.20 lakhs
Placement Percentage 90%
Highest CTC 35 LPA
Average CTC 12-15 LPA
Recruiting Companies Nestle, KPMG, Bosch, Deloitte, etc.

Therefore, SIOM is a better option to study Operations Management than NITIE. SIOM provides you ample opportunities and will also help you in your career.
