This college also provides soft skill training programs and a digital lab facility as well. This will help you in developing your communication and technical skills.
One of my friends recently graduated from Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering (DSCE). Here is what she had to say about the CSE placement at the institute.
The institute is autonomous, and the quality of education, assignments, and projects has been improved over the years. The placements for the CSE branch are promising. All the companies allow CSE students to sit for campus placement. Recently, JP Morgan came to the campus in the sixth semester and offered packages of around INR 6 LPA. Therefore, placement would not be a problem.
All the students across all branches get placed in at least one company. Most students get placed in Accenture, Infosys, HPE, Continental Automotive, Moog, EY, UHG, Dell, JP Morgan, Oracle, Tally, Cognizant, and more. All of these have recruited CSE students in the past.
I will advise you to talk to seniors, before joining the institute, to have a clear picture.
A friend of mine used to study there. Here are a few snippets of his experience.
Hope this gives you an idea of what kind of crowd to expect at Dayanand Sagar College of Engineering.
According to one of my friend’s experiences there are chances of getting into Dayanand Sagar College in the second round. Though the chances are very low, therefore it depends upon your luck.
You should refer to the previous cut-offs but at the same time, you should be open to the options and accept them whole-heartedly as it depends purely on you how much you are inclined to working hard. If you really work hard then it does not matter that in which college you are in, nobody can stop you from reaching your destiny. According to the previous year’s cut-offs, 5855 was the closing rank in Round 1.
Keep trying your dream college but you should be always open to various other options so that you will not waste your entire year.
It depends upon a variety of factors. If you secure a good score and later decide to apply for a branch change at Dayanand Sagar College of Engineering, then you have a decent chance of getting approved. In any case, you will require approval from the principal of your branch. The major pitfall is that the chances of the approval are 5% on the higher side or nothing at all.
Either way, one of the other options is to connect with the administration officials and after a brief discussion about possible choices, coming to an eventual ultimatum where the administration can possibly ask you to deposit a sum of money in lieu of the above requirement. It is best to consult them before you step into the 2nd semester.
According to some of my friends studying at Dayanand Sagar, there are 2 options available if a student misses one interval in Dayanand Sagar College of Engineering.
The Head of Department can allow you to take the test later if they believe the reasons are genuine after viewing your case.
With a rank above 10000, it is difficult to get the CSE or ISE branch at Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering. According to the recent cutoff trends for DSCE, the required cutoff for CSE was 3905.
However, with your rank, you can make it to other branches like ECE, EEE, TE, etc. The college provides the option of internal transfer from one branch to another, so you can change your branch after following the procedure of the college to the branch of your choice if you want to.
After doing some research online, I would suggest not to go for IEM at Ramaiah, until and unless you are extremely interested in studying that particular subject. Since it will not pay you anything and you will eventually wind up in the same category of mass placement at one of the service-based companies.
Double-check the topics you will be studying. EEE is usually less exposed than IEM, yet EEE is regarded as the most complex branch to be studied.
The majority of EEE / ECE / other branches receive job offers from Infosys, HCL, Accenture, or Tech Mahindra.
Parameters | IEM at Ms. Ramaiah | EEE at Dayanand Sagar College of Engineering |
Tuition Fees | INR 3.47 lakh | INR 10 lakh |
Placement Percentage | 95% | 70% |
Highest Package | 13 LPA | 15 LPA |
Average Package | 7.6 LPA | INR 8 LPA |
So, what is the point of learning core Electronics if all you have to do at the conclusion of your engineering degree is code? If you want to build a career, think seriously about the branch you select. Regardless of the institution you attend, I believe EEE is far superior to IEM. Pursue EEE only if you are truly passionate about the subject.
Dayanand Sagar College of Engineering is a well-known college in Bangalore, India that offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate programs in engineering, including Information Science and Engineering (ISE).
In terms of rankings, the college is ranked among the top 150 engineering colleges in India by NIRF (National Institutional Ranking Framework) in 2020. The ISE department at the college also has a good reputation and is known for its experienced faculty and good placement opportunities.
It's important to note that individual experiences can vary, and it's always a good idea to do your own research and speak with current students or alumni to get a better understanding of what the college is like for ISE specifically.
There is no difference between Shift 1 and Shift 2 at Dayanand Sagar College of Engineering. Only the timings and the strength of the students are different
For shift 2, timings are from 11 AM to 6 PM and for shift 1, it's from 9 AM to 5 PM. This timing difference is only for the 1st year. After that, it will be the same for both the 1st and 2nd-year students. It's from 9 only.
Another difference is in terms of strength as in the 2nd shift, there are 75 students while for the 1st shift, the strength is for 60 students.
The concept of two shifts is simple as it is to get more students and to increase the intake as per the existing infrastructure. Apart from this, everything including the projects, classes, syllabus, faculty, and events remains the same and has no difference.
