The course provides comprehensive management training to students by way of the interactive teaching-learning processes, projects, presentations, industrial visits, and practical training.

Mithibai College BMS Admission Guidelines

Admissions to the BMS program at Mithibai College is based on merit on the applicant’s qualifying exam. The admission is provisional till it is subjected to pending approval from the University of Mumbai. Admission is only given to applicants who fulfill the prescribed admission conditions. Applicants can apply from the first year to the second year and second year to the third year.

The steps to apply for the BMS course are as mentioned below:
Visit the admission portal of the University of Mumbai and register themselves and log in.
Applicants must then fill in their personal and academic details. They must add copies of their photographs and signature.Applicants can then find the college by typing in ‘Mithibai College’ in the search column.
After selecting the college, applicants must select the BMS course and select the course electives for semester one (Selected applicants will have to return and reapply for course electives of next term).
They must select 2-course courses and 3 electives and 2 ability enhancement courses.
After the selections, applicants have to click the proceed button and apply it to the course.
If the candidates are selected by the university, they will be asked to email a few documents and pay the admission fee before a due date
If not submitted and paid by the due date, the admission will be canceled.
BMS applicants must email their documents to the concerned email id.

Returning applicants:

Applicants must enter their enrolment number and log in to the portal.
Returning applicants can just click on apply now and apply to the remaining course.
Applicants must select the electives and Ability enhancement compulsory courses like they did for their previous term.
Third-year students of BMS course will have to choose from 2 mains Marketing or Finance at their final year.
After all the selections have been made the students can click proceed and apply.
Students must then wait for the university to approve their admission.

Applicants can only apply up to 7 courses of their choice.
Admissions to the college is done online.
During the admission period, candidates will be asked to submit an enrolment form without which the students will not be given admission.
Students enrolled for the 1st, 3rd or 5th semester will be enrolled for the entire year unless they give up their admission in written form.

The BMS program at Mithibai College has three areas of specialization:

Marketing	Human Resources	Finance

The entire course is divided into 6 semesters and lasts 3 years.
The specializations must be selected so the students will be given electives to choose from their specialization.
The selected applicants must also select 3 electives and 2 ability enhancement courses.
Students are assessed in two criteria to their internal assessment with 40% and semester-end examinations with 60%.
If students do not pass the semester-end examinations or could not attend the exam they will be given a chance to retake the exam.

NM College has strict rules for conduct which are thoroughly followed very seriously in classrooms as well as colleges’ premises.

It is known to have a good environment and you can focus very well on your studies. NM College does not only focus on theoretical knowledge but focuses on practical learning as well. There is a placement cell that invites various companies for job interviews. The placements are good. NM College of Commerce and Economics is undoubtedly one of the best of all.

People here are not arrogant but welcoming and accepting enough.
The college is in Juhu which is an upper class neighborhood, but is bordered by Andheri and Vile Parle so there is a diverse student crowd.
Being a part of the college, it is suggested that you take part in the fests and cultural activities.
It would help you to get to know your college and their students better.
Mithibai is a strict college consisting of studious and competitive people, so you have to study hard to keep up with others.

According to the reviews online, if you are pursuing a very demanding professional course, rethink about joining Mithibai college.

Firstly, you will need to maintain at least 75% attendance, missing that you won't be able to sit for your examinations.
Due to autonomy, they have got powers to change the examination system according to their will. While all other colleges have just one internal (FC), here they have internals for every subject.
These internals include a written test of 25 marks for Maths, Economics and Accounts.
For the other subjects, they want you to do projects and make PPTs and give a proper presentation.
All these take away your time for your professional exam studies.
This is a problem because you also have to study for the semester exams.
So while every other college's CA students study once at the end, students here have to study throughout.

If you are pursuing B.Com, it is suggested that you go for other options like HR and NM. The teaching faculty is better than other colleges, so that is a plus. Lastly, it completely depends on your choice to pursue B.Com here or not.
