Course Curriculum Overview:

Faculty members are so good and supportive. BCom(Hons) is one of the most prominent courses offered by DU. The faculty is highly educated here. The student ratio- there are 120 students in BCom(Hons) divided into two sections. There are about 15-20 faculty members in the Commerce department. Most of the faculty members are Ph.D. Holders and have expertise in their field. Semester exams are held every 6 months and conducted by the University itself. The exam level for all the colleges of DU is the same.

Remarks:

Cut-offs are not as high as those of North Campus colleges. Anyone can easily take a seat by scoring decent scores of around 90% + marks in CUET. Reservation facilities are also available as per the NTA notifications. Merits- Crowd, Environment, Library, Faculty. Demerits- Infrastructure, Canteen. There is n number of societies where students can take part.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I just want to get a graduation degree and nothing else. The faculty is very qualified, knowledgeable and helpful. In my class, there were 45 students. The exams are semester wise and exams are not really tough it's easy.

Remarks:

You just need to match the cut-off percentage that's it there was no entrance exam you can find the application form on du's website. Yes, there are reservation benefits as if you are SC/ST so your admission cut-off is less. The admission process is very easy to my knowledge there is no need for improvement.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I particularly choose this course as I have so much interest in that domain. In this college, at that time the faculty was also good and helpful. All are well educated with a Ph.D. degree. The faculty never say No to you if have the zeal to build your career. They can give you notes and other required materials related to the course. They will also help you with the exam time by telling you what's important and what's not. The exam was not too tough if you have the proper notes and understanding of the concepts.

Remarks:

Admission for this particular course is based on the cut-off list. You have to go to the admission desk of the college and get the application form, fill it and submit it with the documents needed. The admission process is simple and though there are a lot of students so there should be enough staff members to handle the admission process smoothly.

Placement Experience:

You have an opportunity to get placement from this college you are eligible for placement I'm 5th or 6th semester, and companies visiting the college like Reliance, Tata, and another lot of companies made many offers and the highest package is around 15 lakh and the average package on 5 to 6 lakh, also 50 -60% students get placement.

Remarks:

Eligibility, of course, is just good marks in your 12th class at that time, but at present, you have to get good marks in CUET.2023, at least 700/800. You can find the application form on Delhi university's official website and 250 rupees for the application form fee. The overall admission process is quite good you need to be patient.

Ques

How is Delhi College of Arts and Commerce for economics honours?

● Top Answer By Shruti Sharma on 05 Nov 22

Ans
Overall, DCAC is a quintessential and fairly standard college. However, if you are a new student looking for admission, this is a good college to consider. If you only have one option, go with DCAC. The faculty members determine whether or not a department is worthwhile. Faculty members are highly qualified and experienced. Students have always provided positive feedback, particularly for the Economics Department. Another factor to consider is your sincerity, seriousness, consistency, and punctuality with regard to the subject, as well as your desire to become enlightened.

Which is better: BA Hons. Journalism from Lady Shri Ram or Delhi College of Arts and Commerce?

● Top Answer By Aritra Chowdhury on 26 Nov 21

Ans
B.A Hons. in Journalism from Lady Shri Ram College is definitely a better option than DCAC. It is way better in terms of campus, ranking, reputation, student crowd, etc. The cutoff required for the institute is also higher. So, you will be among competitive peers. If you don’t get LSR, try to get into other south-campus colleges. DCAC is not included in any of the DU campuses, which is a huge disadvantage.

At Delhi College of Arts and Commerce, the BA program has 4 subjects in each semester. There are a total of 6 semesters. Discipline subjects are those that students get to choose and they have to study these subjects for the whole 6 semesters.  There are many combinations of subjects, such as Economics+English, Political Science+Philosophy, Maths+Economics, etc. Whatever combination you choose you will need to study that for the whole 6 semesters and you can’t change afterward. Which college should I choose for History (hons) Dyal Singh College or Delhi College of Arts and Commerce?

● Top Answer By Swati Arora, on 25 Nov 21

Ans
It is suggested that you go for Delhi College of Arts and Commerce (DCAC) rather than Dyal Singh College (DSC). Here are some reasons why: If you want a college with better infrastructure and canteen opt for DSC.  On the other hand DCAC provides excellent Extra-curricular activities, societies, clubs, placements and overall exposure. The faculty of both the colleges are good. DSC is better in B.A subjects but not economics. DCAC has better connectivity. It is near to metro stations on the yellow line and pink line. Whereas DSC is only close to JLN stadium metro station on the violet line. Neither of the two colleges offer hostel facilities.  But it is easier to find accommodation near DCAC than to DSC. Accommodation near DCAC is also affordable. Therefore overall DCAC is a much better choice. But in the end it depends on individual preference. Try visiting both the colleges, explore, talk to the alumni or faculty members, if possible and then take the decision.
