Assam Women’s University was inaugurated in the year 2013 and is a state university of Assam recognized by UGC.

Assam Women’s University offers BA and BPT of three-year duration at UG level. At PG level, the University offers MA program with 8 specializations, M.Sc. in Fashion Design and Technology, MCA, MBA, MTTM and MLIS courses.

Candidates can download the application form from the official website of the university.
Students who have passed 10+2 examination with at least 45% marks are eligible to join BA program.
The minimum eligibility requirement for admission to BPT program is candidates must have scored minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics at 10+2 level.
Students who have at least 45% marks in BA are considered eligible to apply for admission to MA course.
The minimum eligibility required to get admission to M.Sc. program is candidates must have scored at least 50% marks in B.Sc. course.
To get admission in MBA course, candidates must have obtained at least 50% marks in Graduation.
For MLIS and MTTM courses, the minimum eligibility requirement is candidates must have completed a Bachelor’s Degree with not less than 45% marks.
For MCA course, the minimum eligibility requirement is candidates must have completed either BCA or BSC in CS or IT or Graduation in Mathematics or Statistics with minimum 50% marks.
Admission to all the UG and PG program is done on the basis of written test.
For MBA and MA in Mass Communication, the university also conducts Group Discussion and Personal Interview along with the written test.

Assam Women's University BA and BPT Admission 2023

Assam Women’s University offers BA program in one specialization and BPT program of 3-years duration with the capacity of 25 students in each.

Candidates who have completed 10+2 examination with minimum 45% marks in any discipline are considered eligible to get admission to BA in the Psychology program. The minimum eligibility criteria for admission to Physiotherapy program is candidates must have scored at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics at 10+2 level.

Admission to both the programs is given on the basis of the entrance examination conducted by the University.

Key Points:

Only female candidates are allowed for admission.
Candidate must be of at least 17 years of age as on August 01.
Relaxation of 5% is given to the candidates of ST/ SC category.
For BPT, questions will be on Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English from 10+2 level syllabus.
For BA in Psychology, the test will assess candidate’s English Proficiency, Reasoning and Basic Arithmetic Skills.

Assam Women's University MA, M.Sc., MBA, MCA, MTM, MLIS Admission 2023

Assam Women’s University offers MA course with 8 disciplines, M.Sc. in Fashion Design and Technology, along with MCA, MBA, MTTM, and MLIS course. Each course is of 2-years duration with the intake of 25 students in each.

The minimum eligibility criteria for admission to MA program is candidates must have completed Graduation in any discipline with minimum 45% marks. Similarly, those who have B.Sc. in relevant discipline with at least 50% marks are eligible to get admission to M.Sc. program. Candidates who have done Bachelor’s degree in any specialization with not less than 50% marks are eligible to join MBA program. Those who hold minimum 45% marks in Graduation Degree are eligible to get admission to MTTM and MLIS courses. Applicants who have done BCA or B.Sc. in CS/ IT/ Electronics or PGDCA or Graduation in Mathematics or Statistics with minimum 50% marks are eligible to apply for admission to MCA.

Admission to all the programs is done on the basis of written test conducted by the university. For M.Sc., admission is done on the basis of merit in the last qualifying examination. In MBA and MA in Mass Communication, the university also conducts GD/PI along with a written test.

Key Points:

For MBA and MTTM written test, questions will be based on Current Affairs, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning and English.
For MCA and MLIS written test, questions will be on Reasoning, English and Computer Basics.
For MA in Mass Communication, the question for the written test will be on Current Affairs, North-East Culture, Media, Language Skill, Comprehension/ Grammar.

Assam Women's University Application Process 2023

The university offers an offline mode of the application process for which candidate must download the form from the official website. The form shall be submitted along with the necessary documents through the post or in person. Payment of the application fee shall be done through the Bank Challan.
