Course Description

IIIT Naya Raipur M.Tech admission 2023 is based on GATE scores followed by CCMT counselling. GATE 2023 registrations started on August 30 and will continue till September 30, 2022. IIIT Naya Raipur MTech Eligibility Criteria

The admission of candidates will be solely based on the GATE merit list.
Candidates applying for admissions in Computer Science and Engineering are required to have a minimum CPI of 6.5 or 60% marks or first qualifying degree along Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Technology or equivalent in an appropriate area OR M.tech (Computer Science/Information Technology) or Graduates (AMIETE) from Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) in Computer Science & Engineering or MCA from a recognized Institution and a valid GATE score in CS OR M.tech (Mathematics/Mathematics & Computing/Statistics) from a recognized Institution, with a minimum CPI of 6.5 or 60% of marks or First Class in the qualifying degree, and a valid GATE score in MA.
Candidates applying for admissions in Electronics and Communications Engineering are required to have a minimum CPI of 6.5 or 60% marks or first qualifying degree along Bachelor’s degree in Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and communication Engineering or Equivalent OR M.tech(Electronics) or Graduates (AMIETE) from Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, and a valid GATE score in EC.
Selection of candidates whose results are still pending in the qualifying examination are yet to be declared would be on provisional basis, subject to the condition that all the pending parts of the examinations from the candidate’s end must be completed before the date of joining the institute.
A relaxation of 5% marks or 0.5 CPI will be provided to the SC/ST/PWD applicants.

IIIT Naya Raipur MTech Admission Guidelines:

Candidates seeking admission in the M.Tech programme have to apply through online mode by visiting the official website of the institute.

First of all, candidates need to register themselves on the college’s official website and enter your login details.
After registering, login again with the new credentials and add personal details.
Upload the essential scanned documents while filling the application form.
Pay the prescribed application fees: For SC/ST/PWD Category- INR 300 and for other categories INR 500.
After the successful submission of the application form, candidates will receive an application number along with a link to download the form.
Candidates are advised to save their application forms since they will be required to present a hard copy of the same at the time of admission.

The M.tech programme at IIIT Naya Raipur is divided into 4 semesters stretching for the duration of two years. But if placements are considered, IIIT Lucknow and IIIT Naya Raipur are still lagging far behind than NIT Raipur, a well-established institute among the two IIITs. NIT Raipur has an infinite alumni network. Yes, you can change your branch after the first year. IIIT Raipur has such provision for students. In IIIT Raipur there are two branches CSE and ECE and a changing branch from CSE to ECE is easy and common. Most of the students change their branch from CSE to ECE. There are four-five seats in CSE and six-seven seats more likely vacant. You can change your branch before the beginning of the 3rd semester. The process of branch change allotments based on the merit list. If you have a high CGPA then you will get preference. The number of seats also depends on the available seats, from the previous year's admission and students who left the seat. Therefore, you need not worry about branch change. Because many students change their branch after the first year. Its process is also easy, but branch allotment solely depends on the number of vacant seats and your CGPA.

The achievements of the student’s project have a growing prospect for this institute. As it is guided by IIIT Hyderabad, the median salary is higher than the other institutes of India. There is no comparison between IIIT Raipur and IIEST Shibpur for Engineering. IIEST Shibpur is a much older and well established college than IIIT Raipur. Being a student of IIEST Shibpur myself, I can confidently say that the college is much superior when it comes to engineering. IIEST offers decent placements due to its strong alumni network and reputation among people. According to recent placement statistics, many top recruiters visited during the placement drive including Microsoft, Vedanta, Wipro, Cognizant, Godrej, HSBC Technologies, and many others giving the highest package of INR 39 LPA. Lastly, we can say that though IIIT Raipur may be known for its brand it does not stand on the same ranking as the old engineering departments of IIEST.
