UPES offers a two-year M.Tech course in 16 different specializations. The minimum eligibility to apply in both courses is a BE/B.Tech degree from a recognized university.

UPES admission to M.Tech. is done on the basis of screening of candidates’ application, followed by an interview.

Key Points:

Candidates appearing in their final year examinations are also eligible for UPES admission by providing the proof of eligibility.
Candidates with a compartment in any of their subjects are not eligible for UPES admission.
Those who have an M.Sc degree need to have 60% marks in B.Sc as well to be considered eligible.
Candidates who don’t pass their semester at the first attempt and are not punctual academically, will not be provided any fellowship.

Scholarship

Fellowship for M.Tech Students

GATE SCHOLARSHIP: Under this scholarship, INR12,400/- per month will be given to Students having 70 percentile and above in GATE.

Students admitted to M. Tech program in the academic session 2020-21 with valid GATE score 70 percentile and above will be considered for scholarship @ Rs. 12,400/- per month during their period of registration with the University. The eligibility for the continuance of scholarship in subsequent semesters is given below:

Minimum SGPA / CGPA of 8.0 in each semester.
Passed every semester examination in the first attempt besides maintaining regular attendance, discipline, exemplary behavior and compliance with all other norms as prescribed by the University from time to time.

RESEARCH GRANT: All Students will also be eligible to avail a grant up to a sum of Rs. 50,000/- towards outcome-based research as per rules & regulations framed for the purpose by the University.
