Based on your personal education experience, you recommend that if you have the choice between IMSEC Ghaziabad and UPES Dehradun, you should choose IMSEC. However, if you have received a specialization in CCVT from UPES, then you should consider attending UPES. The reasons why IMSEC is the better choice are:

  • IMSEC is located in the National Capital Region, which is a hub for startups, networking, and connecting with like-minded individuals. The location provides great opportunities to build a strong resume and gain industrial exposure. In comparison, Dehradun and Guna are relatively isolated.
  • The fees at IMSEC are significantly lower than at UPES, offering a better return on investment.
  • Both IMSEC and UPES are considered to be tier 3 colleges, meaning that students are likely to be placed in companies such as Infosys or Wipro. However, with hard work, skill-building, and networking, students have the potential to secure better job opportunities with product-based companies like Amazon, Flipkart, or Microsoft.
  • UPES Dehradun has a higher number of attractive female students, compared to IMSEC and Jaypee Guna. However, it should be noted that there are plenty of attractive girls in Delhi as well. Ultimately, IMSEC is the better choice (unless you have received the specialization in CCVT from UPES).

NIT Silchar is one of the top engineering colleges in India. Recently in NIRF Ranking by MHRD, NIT Silchar holds 46th rank among best engineering Institutes in the country.

My brother is from NIT Silchar and this is the best thing that ever happened to him. But also every institute has its own advantages and disadvantages.

Pros:

  • Weather: Pristine green and calm climate, No pollution, Beautiful lakes, and amazing tea gardens.
  • Professors: The teachers here are extremely friendly. They will advise you on your future choices and point you in the right direction.
  • Other Activities: Apart from your academics, you have the freedom to explore your hobbies or create new ones, develop other skills, go on a tour to nearby amazing places like Mizoram, Shillong, Sikkim, Twang, and so on.
  • Internet: The best thing among all facilities is unlimited internet access. Many colleges have high-speed internet, but they do not provide unlimited access without a time limit.
  • Placement: Many notable companies visit the campus every year for good placements like Samsung, Goldman Sachs, L&T, Flour Daniell, Snapdeal, Gammon, BPCL, HPCL, Reliance JIO, etc.
  • Start-up Culture: NIT Silchar has recently established a startup center under the Government of India to promote entrepreneurship among students and in surrounding areas, with the goal of being a Job Creator rather than a Job Seeker.
  • Festivals and Celebrations: All the festivals are celebrated on college campuses like Diwali, Bihu, Holi, etc. This college also organize cultural fests every year such as the Technical festival — Tecnoesis, Cultural festival, Incandescence and Posua, Management festival, Paarbon, Innovation festival.

Cons:

  • In-time for girls: Girls are not allowed to go out after 8 P. M.
  • Food: Be it mess or canteens or restaurants in the city you will crave good food. People will tell you about a few restaurants for their amazing food, but they will not tell you about their food serving time. But if you have Subway on your campus then there is no problem.

I hope my answer is helpful to you.

You should choose KIIT Bhubaneswar for studying Law. It is older and more reputed. On an overall scale, it is better than UPES, Dehradun. Placement will depend on your interest. For Judiciary careers, KIIT Bhubaneswar offers more exposure and opportunities. Few law firms also take part in campus placements. The highest CTC offered in KIIT Bhubaneswar placements is around INR 7 LPA.  UPES offers better opportunities in corporate law.

When considering which school to choose, it's important to compare your options. When it comes to choosing between UPES and other schools, there really is no comparison. UPES is hands down the better option.

If you are looking for a school that provides better internships, certifications, and industry-recognized degrees, then you should definitely consider the College of Management & Economics Studies at UPES. Their MBAs are tailored to specific domains, so you'll be able to focus on what you're truly interested in.

UPES also boasts a placement rate of around 95%, which is a great indicator of the school's success in helping students land jobs after graduation. Students who are serious about their studies have landed positions at top companies like Crisil, KPMG, and Amazon, with salaries that often exceed those offered by IIMs.

While UPES may not be in the same league as top private schools, it is still a better option than schools like ICFAI or DBS. In terms of return on investment, most students will likely find that UPES is a better choice. If you have the funds and are able to clear the entrance procedures, then UPES should be your top choice.

According to the reviews online, both colleges have their own pros and cons, and here are some comparison points which might help you make an informed decision.

  • The location of both the colleges are good, be it Gandhinagar or Dehradun.
  • The UPES campus is much bigger compared to the PDPU campus. But both are well maintained and facilitated.
  • PDPU provides B.Tech in Petroleum Engineering while UPES provides the same in Applied Petroleum Engineering. The former is considered to be far better and more advantageous than the latter.
  • Curriculum of PDPU is very well prepared encompassing all major aspects. It has now been bifurcated into upstream and downstream.
  • Placements at PDPU are much better compared to UPES.
  • PDPU is visited by core companies like ONGC but UPES is mostly famous for its relevance among IT companies like Accenture, Wipro, etc.

Lastly, it can be seen that PDPU, even being a newer institution has grown a lot compared to other colleges. They are visited by core companies which hire students offering them a salary package of 14-15 LPA. So, it will be better if you go for PDPU as it will give you proper industrial exposure and opportunities.

UPES is one of the finest law schools in the country, and its broad Law program gives students an advantage when it comes to learning real law. As one of my friends studied there, I might be able to help with your question.

  • It is not only a source of knowledge, but it is also enjoyable and contributes to the overall healthy development of the student's personality.
  • The courses at UPES are among the most highly regarded by students, and the placement is also significantly superior. Simply go for it.
Categories UPES Dehradun NMIMS Mumbai
Course Fee 17.95 lakh 5-10 lakh

Having friends at both institutes, I can say Bennett University is the better choice. The points below provide a brief overview of Bennett University and give proper reasons to support the choice between the two institutes.

  • Bennett University has a vision of growing as a world-class university. It provides advanced facilities to students for becoming efficient engineers.
  • They have a unique curriculum, which has been developed with the support of Georgia Tech.
  • Bennett University is accredited by ABET and NBA and follows their guidelines strictly. It also has collaboration with EdX for online learning courses and training.
  • Unlike other institutes that focus on C++ in the first year, Bennett University focuses on both JAVA and Python from the very first year.
  • There is a great impact on practical knowledge, along with necessary theoretical knowledge in classes through tutorials and lectures.
  • There is excellent infrastructure in classrooms and labs at Bennett.
  • Bennett University invited lectures and professors from international organizations and universities for speeches, providing enough international exposure.
  • Students with good CGPA scores are given the opportunity to learn an entire semester from reputed foreign universities.

It is quite an interesting journey at Bennett University. Students get enough time to do what they are interested in. Therefore, Bennett University is indeed a great choice, as it gives a large scheme of things to students for exploring throughout the course.

Before choosing a college, you need to keep a lot of things in mind, like the environment, location, placements, faculty and overall curriculum.

One of my friends studied at IP University, and according to him here are some things you should know before selecting.

IP University:

  • Among the choices, IP University is considered to be the better one.
  • The college is in the city, hence all the necessary amenities will be easily available.
  • They not only enhance students' academic performance but also develop them holistically through extracurricular activities and clubs.
  • IP University has a much lower fee structure than the others mentioned.
  • Students are given industrial exposure through industry visits, guest lectures, projects, workshops, etc.
Categories IP University
Course Fee INR 3.16 lakh
Placement Percentage 80%
Highest CTC 11 LPA
Average CTC 6-8 LPA
Recruiting Companies Deloitte, Wipro, Accenture, HCL, etc.

If you prefer living in a city then IP is the best choice. It provides the same level of education as UPES but in a much more reasonable package.

UPES Dehradun does not have a good enough reputation as it does not appear anywhere in the national rankings. On the other hand, Nirma University ranks among the top institutes. It is often in the top 50 best colleges in the country. It is one of the best in Gujarat and is also on equal footing with most of the NITs.

If you want to pursue CSE at Nirma University, the placements offers will be lucrative. The packages can go as high as INR 18 LPA. There are also tons of activities organized by the university which take place every now and then. You can participate in those for honing your skills.

A friend of mine used to be a student of Nirma University and he came across a few students of UPES Dehradun while he was doing an internship. From what he gathered, he thinks the institute is not up to the mark and leaves a lot to be desired. UPES Dehradun focuses more on technological knowledge.

You can opt for Nirma University for B.Tech without any second thought. The university offers great industrial exposure for the course.
