Shiv Nadar University established in 2011, in Greater Noida as one of the youngest university ranked in the NIRF top 50 and the winner of the “University of The Year” national award also was selected by the Niti Ayog under the Atal Innovation Mission. Along with courses, SNU provides hostel facilities, a well-established library, sports, etc, and achieved the ranking 4.8 out of 5 in infrastructure. Also, the average package for MBA students for the last year was 7.5 LPA and got the rank 3.2 in placements.

SNU from the MBA programme is two years (Four Semesters) course is based on entrance test but those candidates who are going to appear for CAT/ GMAT/ XAT or NMAT by GMAC can directly apply for admission at SNU MBA programme but who don’t have a valid scorecard of the mentioned national level entrance exam then they have to appear for SMAT.
While short listing, SNU will consider the national level entrance score or SMAT score after that, shortlisted candidates will be called for further selection round.

Shiv Nadar University MBA Eligibility

Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in any stream from a recognized institute with a minimum of 50% marks in their qualifying examination/Candidates who are appearing in their final year of graduation can also apply.
Candidates need to appear in Shiv Nadar University Management Admission Test (SMAT) entrance test for admission into its offered MBA program.
Candidates who have CAT/ XAT/ MAT/ NMAT scorecard will also be eligible.

Ans. From the Delhi Stations (Delhi/New Delhi/Nizamuddin) proceed to NOIDA and then follow the directions given above. Another option is to disembark at Ghaziabad and drive down on NH91 to Dadri. SNU is about 3 km after Dadri on the right-hand side. Also, the candidate can book a cab.

Ans. Yes, an education loan is provided by the SNU as per the eligibility guidelines up to 9.5 lacs for the repayment period of 7-10 years.

Ques. How are the summer internships of the SNU?

Ans. Every first-year student will be required to work on an assignment with a company or an organization for a period of eight weeks during the summer vacation at the end of the first year of the Programme. The summer placement is an integral part of the MBA Programme. The Career Development Cell (CDC) of SNU will assist the eligible students in finding suitable summer assignments. Company-sponsored students will be governed by the understanding between the sponsoring organization and SNU. A summer internship is of 2 credits. The students will be required to submit a written project report, and a certificate from the host organization certifying the completion of the assignment, at the time of registration for the fourth term

What is your review of Shiv Nadar University?

One of my friends attended Shiv Nadar University. She loved the time she spend on campus.

Academics:

The course curriculum and grading system are designed in such a way that, you won’t be able to slack off. The campus seniors have taken a great initiative to decrease the academic load of juniors through the LASC program. Through this program, seniors teach important topics, resolve doubts and also help juniors plan out preparation strategies for examinations.

Ranking:

Shiv Nadar University ranking - It was ranked 84 by NIRF 2021.

Extra-Curricular:

As a student of SNU, you will get to take part in seminars, conferences and meet a lot of delegates. There are also many club activities. You should take part in at least one club during your time on campus.

SNU college fest, BREEZE gets better with each coming year. Friendly intercollege competitions and events are organized by the clubs of SNU.

Hostels:

There are ac and non-ac hostel accommodations. Each hostel has proper housekeeping and trash disposal facilities. Hostels also have laundry services. There are round-the-clock first-aid and medical assistance provided.

Food offered at SNU is good. You can also order in from eateries outside.

Placements:

SNU has a good placement record. During the 2021 placement drive, the average and highest CTC offered was INR 7.82 LPA and INR 24 LPA.

Despite being IIT Kanpur, a whole brand, many prefer SNU over it. There are multiple reasons why people would choose a private institute over a government-funded institute.

SNU is a multidisciplinary research-oriented university. Being fully interdisciplinary, it allows students of every branch to choose from a wide range of minor electives covering fields ranging from Physics, Maths, Economics, Dance, and Data Analytics to History, Sociology, Communications, Management, and many others. So you are able to pursue more than one field at once irrespective of the branch you belong to.
SNU has a research-centric approach and even UGC has verified this. It has managed to give a high research output across various fields worth over Rs. 30 Crore.
SNU is well known for its top-notch Infrastructure and amenities including hostel and mess facilities that are better than IIT Kanpur.

Being a new university, SNU cannot be found in the recent rankings but it soon will surpass other institutes.

IT from MSIT (Maharaja Surajmal) is better. It has a better industry presence, especially in NCR. Many reputed companies take part in MSIT placements. Google, MU Sigma, ZS Associates, Jaro Education, Wingify, Infosys, etc. are among the major recruiters. Students receive an average package of around INR 4-5 LPA. The highest CTC goes up to INR 55 LPA.

Which is better IISER Berhampur or Shiv Nadar University for BSc MSc in Physics?

Both the universities are well renowned and are known for their quality education and placements. Whereas, the only difference lies in the selection procedure.

IISERs only accept admissions on the basis of JEE Advanced scores. Thus, giving you a better peer group. But SNU also offers a good BSc/MSc program for Physics.

Thus, choosing any one of them is definitely a tough task. But given the choice between the two, students tend to go with IISER, due to its selection factor.

Should I go for NMIMS BBA or Shiv Nadar BMS?

BBA and BMS are two different courses. When making a choice between NMIMS BBA and Shiv Nader BMS, give preference course over institute. Choose what interests you more.

On an overall scale, NMIMS BBA is a slightly better choice. Due to the locational advantage, you will get good exposure. You can do internships and projects while pursuing your BBA. NMIMS placements are good for BBA. The salary packages offered goes up to INR 12 LPA.
