Course Information

Eligibility Criteria

A pass in two years PUC science examination of the Department of Pre-University Education, Government of Karnataka with Physics, Chemistry and Biology with any one science subject OR an inter-agriculture subject.

Admission Guidelines

Selection will be made on basis of a merit list prepared according to marks obtained in the +2 level examination.

For the seats reserved for Agriculturists or Children/ward of Agriculturists, mode of admission shall be as under:

The merit list will be prepared based on 50% marks secured in PCB in II year PUC science and 50% marks secured in the Practical Test. The Practical Test shall be conducted for 200 marks in the University on the specified date. The Practical Test shall consist of any or all of the following:

  1. Ploughing over a short length
  2. Yoking of Bullocks
  3. How to approach Cattle for milking
  4. How to hold a lamb or sheep
  5. Identification of Agricultural Implements
  6. Identification of Grains
  7. Identification of Agricultural Fertilizers / Manures
  8. Identification of Fruits / Vegetables
  9. Identification of Agricultural Crops
  10. Identification of Agricultral / Veterinary / Fishing Equipments
  11. Identification of Forest Species
  12. Identification of Fodder Crops
  13. Identification of Farm Animals
  14. Transplanting of Paddy
  15. Harrowing over a short length
  16. Seeds sowing
  17. Weeding
  18. Harvesting

The candidates who fail to appear for practical test will be considered as ‘Not eligible’. Those candidates who attend the Practical Test and score less than 100 marks will also be considered as ‘Not eligible’ for claiming seats under this quota.
