Dr. YSR Horticulture University was established by the Government of Andhra Pradesh in 2007 at Venkataramannagudem in West Godavari District. It is the second Horticulture University in the country. Dr. YSR Horticulture University runs on the Land Grant pattern followed in USA, with the emphasis on Education, Research and Extension of Horticulture. Therefore, the mandate of the University is Human Resource Development through Education, conduct need based research and dissemination of the proven technologies developed through research.
The University invites applications for admission to the Bachelor of Science Programme in Horticulture. The course is for a duration of four years and offers a hands-on training in commercial technologies in Horticulture designed for two batches for 14 weeks each, in the 7th and 8th semester of the Programme. The admission to the Programme will be through the AP EAMCET (Engineering, Agricultural and Medical Common Entrance Test) 2021 to be held on 4th Week of April, 2021 .
You should have passed the Intermediate Examination of 10+2 format conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the University or Board of Intermediate Education with either of the following subjects:
You will be selected on the basis of AP EAMCET (Engineering, Agricultural and Medical Common Entrance Test) 2021.
The paper consists of a total of 160 questions in the multiple choice question format. It is for a duration of 3 hours. It involves 80 questions on Mathematics, 40 questions each in Physics and Chemistry. You are required to answer all questions. Each correct answer is awarded with one mark and there is no negative marking for an incorrect answer. The syllabus will be based on the 10+2 qualifying examination syllabus. The medium for the exam will be English and Telugu. However, if you have studied the qualifying examination in Urdu medium and wish to avail assistance for translating the questions into Urdu, it will be allotted a Test Centre at Kurnool only.
You should be able to secure a minimum of 25% of the maximum marks considered for ranking to qualify the AP EAMCET-2021. However, you will not require any minimum qualifying marks if you belong to the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe category.

The Application has to be submitted through online mode only.
You should visit the website of AP EAMCET to fill in the Application Form.
You should fill the Application Form with the required personal and educational details.
Application Fee: This is the first step of the Registration Process. You should pay Rs.350 as Registration Fee and late fee (if applicable) by opting any of the following two modes of payment: (a) AP ONLINE (b) Debit / Credit Card.
After filling the Online Application Form with the required details, you must verify all the details carefully and then press the “Submit” button.
Subsequently, the filled in Online Application Form will be generated which contains Registration Number along with your filled in details.
Your Registration process is now complete.
You should then take a printout of Filled in Online Application Form. You will have to submit this to the Invigilator during the examination after affixing a recent colour passport size photograph duly attested by the Gazetted Officer or Principal of the College from where you have passed your qualifying examination.
You should save and use the Registration Number for future correspondence.
15% of the seats (23) are earmarked for ICAR Quota over and above the 150 seats, for the students from states other than Andhra Pradesh.
