Jaypee University of Information & Technology, Solan was established in the year 2002. It offers 7 specializations under the B.Tech program, 4 under M.Tech, and 8 under the Ph.D. program. B.Tech is a full-time undergraduate program of four years with a total of 510 seats. M.Tech is a two-year full-time course with an intake capacity of 18 seats per specialization. JUIT offers Ph.D. as both full-time and part-time. Candidates also have the choice of sponsored Ph.D.
The application process is done online . Candidates shall have to pay an amount of INR 1200 (UG) or INR 1000 (PG/Ph.D.) as the application fee. The minimum eligibility criteria for the B.Tech program is 10+2 with 60% aagregate. For admission to MTech Program, 60% aggregate marks or 06 CGPA in scale of 10 at UG level is must.
Admission to JUIT PhD Program is on the basis of merit. Candidates having qualified NET/SLET/UGC/CSIR(JRF) are exempted from the PhD Entrance Test conducted by the University. Non-NET/SLET qualified candidates have to appear for the entrance test and selection offer will be
made to the qualified candidates in order of merit.
Admission to MSc Program is on the basis of merit of UG program. 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST) in UG is must for admission to the program. Admission to BSc (Hons.) in Mathematics & Computing is on the basis of merit of 10+2 Examination with 60% aggregate marks (55% for SC/ST) and Mathematics as a compulsory subject.
Candidates shall be selected on the basis of both merit and entrance examination. For B.Tech, candidates must clear JEE Main. For M.Tech, GATE or PGET by JUIT.
10% of the total seats are reserved for the candidates belonging to the state of Himachal Pradesh, who have completed their degree in the State.

JUIT B.Tech Admission 2023
Jaypee University of Information & Technology offers B.Tech in 7 specializations. Candidates must have completed their 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. For B.Tech Biotechnology & Bioinformatics, candidates must have Biology/Biotechnology, Physics, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
Admission to the B.Tech course in JUIT Solan is based on merit in the entrance examinations or merit in the qualifying examination. Entrance-based admission to B.Tech depends on the All India Rank of the candidates in JEE Main.

JUIT Application Process 2023
Application to JUIT educational and doctoral programs can be done both in online and offline modes. Offline applications can be either downloaded from the website or directly availed from the university through a Demand Draft of INR 1200 (UG programs) or INR 1000 (PG/Ph.D. programs). JUIT Reservation Criteria 2022
JUIT follows the reservation policy of the state of Himachal Pradesh. In addition to that,
- There is a 10% reservation for candidates belonging to the state of Himachal Pradesh if they completed their qualifying examination from the State.
- SC/ST candidates shall be given a relaxation of 10% in the cut-off.
- NRI candidates shall be given only the merit-based seats.

I am a first year student in CSE and I would say that my experience in this institute has been amazing. The admission in this institution is via 10+2 board marks or JEE (Mains). The application form is easily accessible from the Institution's website. There is also reservation for SC/ST/army/HP. The admission process was pretty simple. We were asked to fill the forms based on our JEE scores or our 12th board's percentage depending on whichever we were confident about..we could do both too. There is no entrance exam and the cut-off is decided based on scores submitted by the students. The JEE cut-off is low only. The application forms can be found on the college's official website itself (juit.ac.in) and students and the dates can be checked by checking the website again and again. There is an application form fee of 1000. Many kinds of reservations are provided like for students coming from army backgrounds and Kashmiri migrants. The admission process was pretty smooth so I don't think any improvements as such are needed, they just have to keep it up.

This college allows students either through board or through jee mains and most of the students you see here are of cse branch you can easily get cse branch on boards and jee marks, Every year approx. 400-500 students are admission to this college either through Jiit Concelling or by mailing them their mail id and gets into it process is so easy that you can go and apply through Jiit Noida's Concelling or through mailing at Juit Solan's official mail ID. There are no short of reservations or waivers available to anyone.

In terms of Civil engineering, both the colleges, JUIT Solan and JUET Gunaare good colleges to learn from and for overall development. But the latter comparatively has an edge over the former.
Academics:
JUET Guna campus is sprawled in multiple folds, over more than 125 acres. The civil engineering lab at JUET GUNA is more equipped than JUIT Solan from what I have heard from many of my seniors. Due to the much bigger campus, you can use up the instruments more efficiently.
Placements:
As far as the placement is concerned, both are nearly the same. If you want to go to a non-core Job you can easily get it with good effort or else if you opt for core jobs then they conduct pool campus drives specifically at different locations.
Here’s a brief comparison of the Civil Engineering course offered by the institutes.
