NID is conducted for admissions to Bachelor of Design (B.Des.), Master of Design (M.Des.) and Graduate Diploma Programme in Design (GDPD). It is held every year by National Institute of Design (NID). It is held in two stages: 1) DAT Prelims and 2) DAT Mains. This year, NID 2020 Main is scheduled for April 29 to May 3, 2020.
Admission to the desired programme is based on the score the candidate obtains in the first, second and third round of the NID Selection Process. DAT exam is conducted across India at different examination centres. The candidates should keep in mind that a mere appearance in DAT exam as well as getting a rank in DAT exam won’t ensure a seat for him/her at NID. DAT exam is conducted to check the candidate’s capability to become a potential designer.
After qualifying the first stage of examination, the candidates have to appear for the second and third round which will be from Ahmadabad, Bangalore and Gandhi Nagar campus. The final results will be announced by the Vijayawada campus.

First of all, don’t worry much. DAT exams are designed in such a way that for all those people who have a creative side in them can crack this exam easily.
You have to solve the problems fast so that you can answer all the questions. The candidates have to complete the exam within 3 hours. The question paper consists of 100 mark questions and it consists of both objective and subjective type questions.
Even though it is an Aptitude test conducted for Designing they give importance to current affairs also. So, if you guys don’t want to lose marks the go and study all those current affairs from the past 2 years.
Candidates have to develop their Speed and Accuracy so that they can score well in the exam. So, the aspirants of NID exam have to practice a lot to improve their speed in sketching as well as in thinking. A candidate will get very less time to answer each question. So, what you have to do is that solve previous year practice papers and sketch a lot. Never let your hand free. Always sketch something or the other.
If you are able to sketch the answers then it will be more beneficial than writing down the answers. It has got several benefits. One main thing is that it saves you time. More than that if you can perceive an idea in your mind and if you are able to draw it on your answer sheet, then it will give a better picture to the evaluators.
