NID DAT 2023 Counselling usually commences within a week after the result announcement. Seat confirmation, fee payment, and document upload process start within 2 days of counselling conclusion. Seat Allotment Result is also released subsequently. The portal to upload the documents is activated simultaneously and the candidates who are allotted the seat have to submit the documents online at the candidates' login portal. NID DAT 2023 Result and final merit list is tentatively scheduled to be released on May 2023 after the conclusion of the Studio test and PI. National Institute of Design (NID) conducts a Design Aptitude Test (DAT) followed by a Studio Test and Personal Interview for admission into Bachelor of Design (B. Design), Master of Design (M. In order to complete NID DAT 2023 Counselling Process and the admission process, the selected candidates are required to attend the counselling session in person at the selected NID Campus. Candidates have to produce original documents and pay the admission fees in order to confirm admission.

The final NID DAT 2023 Merit List for both Bachelor of Design and Master of Design is usually in the fourth week of May 2023 tentatively. The admission procedure can be completed by June 2023 for successful candidates from the first merit list. The second merit list containing the names of waitlisted candidates will be made available by end of June 2023 tentatively. The scheduled dates for NID DAT 2023 Counselling are as follows:

NID DAT 2023 Merit list would be declared after the declaration of final results. The candidate’s performance in all three stages is taken into consideration while preparing the final merit list. The weightage of marks in each stage obtained by the candidate is evaluated by the Institute itself. No application or request for revaluation of results is entertained by the institute. The decision by the institute is considered final. Weightage for preparation of the final merit list is indicated below.

Candidates can see the final merit list for the Bachelor of Design program on the website: http://admissions.nid.edu. The list is prepared category-wise and will be based on the weightage marks of the selected candidates in the three stages.
Similarly, for each discipline of the Master of Design program, candidates can see the final merit list on the official website: admissions.nid.edu. The list is prepared category-wise and will be based on the weightage marks of the selected candidates in all three stages taken together.

The counselling process for admission to B. Des. And M. Des. Program in National Institute of Design for the academic session 2023-24 is expected to start in the last week of June, 2023. The NID DAT 2023 counselling process primarily involves three steps:
The successful candidates whose name appear in the rank list would be allotted seats provisionally after online verification of documents.
The candidates, who have qualified as per the first Merit List, would be required to upload the scanned copies of the requisite documents for the purpose of verification. All the relevant documents have to be issued in the name of the candidate. The scanned copies of the original documents should be in JPEG format only.
The next step after the verification of the uploaded documents is the Provisional Offer of Admission which includes details of fees to be paid. This would be sent to the candidate via email. The following documents will be attached to the email:
Candidates have to fill in all the required details along with the candidate’s and parents/guardian’s signature on printed copies of all documents before proceeding to the payment of fees. After this entire process, the seat allocation will be confirmed to the candidate.
The next step in the process is to print the “Acceptance of Admission Form”, fill the checklist of relevant documents, paste a recent passport photograph and attach the Demand Draft & duly signed copies of ALL documents in the below-mentioned sequence:
Candidates need not send the above documents by post or by hand. These documents are required to be submitted after the physical verification of original documents at respective campuses.
The candidates should attend the Physical Verification procedure in person, at the respective campus for verification of original documents, and submission of the relevant documents as per the schedule notified by the admission committee
