NTA will reopen JEE Main Form Correction window from May 25 to May 31, 2020. As per the official notification, candidates can also alter their choice of cities for JEE Main Exam Center

April session of JEE Main 2020 has now been scheduled for July 18 – 23, 2020 as confirmed by HRD minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank during a webinar on May 5. JEE Main Admit Card release is expected 21 days prior to the exam date.



JEE Main: Highlights of Form Correction and Change of Exam Centre

  • The correction can be made on the official website i.e. jeemain.nta.nic.in

  • As per the recent notification by NTA the candidates will be able to change the centre of examination for the JEE Main 2020

  • If by any chance, a different city for the examination has been allotted to the candidate then the decision of the administration regarding the centre shall stand final.

  • The candidates must be very careful while editing the application as there will be no another chance for any correction

Steps for JEE Main 2020 Form Correction

The candidates will get no further chance for the correction of application details. So the candidates must be very careful while filling up the application form. The steps to correct the application form are as follows:

  • Go to the official website of JEE Main 2020. 

  • Click on ‘Application Form Correction For JEE(Main) April-2020’

  • A new window will appear:

  • Enter the details of application number, password or date of birth, security pin and click on ‘sign in’ button

  • The form will be available on the screen for editing

  • Submit the application by clicking on ‘preview and submit’

  • Enter the OTP sent on the registered mobile number

  • Submit the application form

  • Print the application and acknowledgement for future reference


Details that can be Corrected

JEE Mains Form Correction: Details That can be Modified

The details of the candidates that can be modified or changed by using the form Ncorrection window are as follows:

  • Personal details(name, parent’s name, the medium of examination, details of identity proof.

  • Centre for examination(as per the latest notification by NTA)

  • Academic details(marks obtained previously, name of the school, board of examination etc)

  • Contact details(address, phone number)

  • Documents(photograph, signature and any other)

In case a candidate has forgotten his/her application number or password then S/he has to recover the password through registered mail id or phone number. The steps to recover the application number and password are mentioned below:

  • Visit the official website of NTA

  • Click on ‘Application Form Correction For JEE(Main) April-2020’

  • Click on ‘forget application number’ or ‘forget password’(whichever is required)

The new window will appear and the candidates are required to feed the following information:

  • Name of the candidate

  • Date of birth

  • Father’s name 

  • Mothers’ name

  • Security pin(case sensitive)

After entering these details click on ‘get application number’. 

The application number will be successfully recovered. Steps to recover the password are as follows:

  • If you click ‘forgot password’ then 3 options will be displayed:

  1. Security question and its answer chosen during the time of filling the application

  2. Verification code sent on the phone number provided

  3. Reset link sent on the registered email address

  • The page will be redirected to another page where the candidates are required to fill the details of application number, date of birth, security question etc.

  • Click ‘submit’

  • The password will be successfully recovered.

Question: What shall I do if I entered wrong details at the time of correction?

Ans. The candidates won’t get any other chance to edit the application form. So it is advised to circumspect the form repeatedly.

Question: Can I change the centre of examination?

Ans. Yes. The NTA has allowed changes in the centre of examination.

Question: What should I do if I get a different city as an exam centre?

Ans. The decision of the office shall remain final in context to the exam centre and any request after allotment will not be entertained.

Question: Can I change the papers which I have applied for?

Ans. Yes. The candidates can apply for multiple papers and the payment shall be made separately.

Question: I missed the payment earlier and my form submission was not processed. Can I make the payment now?

Ans. Yes. The candidates who missed the payment can make it by 11:00 pm of April 14, 2020.
