JEE Main 2020 is scheduled in two shifts (Morning and Evening) on April 5,7,8,9,11, 2020. The answer key for the same will be released by NTA soon after the exam is over at jeemain.nta.nic.in. Answer key for JEE Main 2020 January session is available for download.
JEE Main 2020 Result will be announced on April 30, 2020 through online mode. Applicants have to score minimum cut off marks to successfully qualify the exam. Check JEE Main Cut off
The answer key can be used in JEE Main Rank Predictor to check the probable colleges you can get. NTA releases merit list separately for each category post the announcement of result. Candidates will be allotted seats in NITs, SFTIs, GFTIs and state-funded institutes through counselling on the basis of merit-cum-availability.

A = Number of correct answers x 4
B = Number of wrong answers x -1
Challenge JEE Main Answer Key
How to challenge JEE Main Answer Key?
After the official answer keys of JEE Main are announced, candidates can cross check the same for any objections. If the candidate finds some objection in JEE Main answer key, they can challenge it in the given timeline along with payment of INR 1000 for every question they wish to challenge. The payment for this must be made online.
While filling the application form for challenging JEE Main Answer Key, candidates have to login online and fill in details that are asked:
- JEE Main Application number
- Date of Birth
- Security pin (generated by the system).
- The fee for challenging the answer key of JEE Main and the recorded responses can be paid through credit/debit card, which is non-refundable.
- Decision of NTA on the challenges to the answer key will be considered final.

- Four marks will be awarded for every correct answer
- For each incorrect answer, one mark will be deducted from the total score.
- There will be no negative marking for numerical value based questions.
- No mark for not attempted questions
- If candidates choose more than one option one mark will be deducted
