According to the Director of IIT Delhi, Prof. Ramgopal Rao, JEE Main 2021 exam dates for January session can be delayed by a month. Earlier, NTA Director-General Vineet Joshi conveyed that JEE Main 2021 exam dates will also be impacted by the reopening of school and board examination schedule.

NTA is expected to start the registration process for JEE Main 2021 in October 2020. Over 11 lakh students are likely to take the JEE Main 2021 examination. The registration portal will available for about 1 month. The candidates must complete their registration as early as possible and not wait for the last date. JEE Main 2021 is likely to be scheduled in the 2nd week of January 2021.

This is because of the delay in start of the academic session of 2020-21 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. JEE Main 2020 April session was also delayed and the exam was conducted between September 1-6, 2020.
