JEE Main 2021 B.E./B.Tech Question Paper: Detailed Analysis

The below-mentioned table is showing the number of questions listed in the question paper as per their difficulty level-

Subjects Easy Moderate Difficult
Physics 12 13 5
Chemistry 10 16 4
Mathematics 12 11 7
Total 34 40 16
  • It can be seen that moderate level questions dominated the question paper of JEE Main 2021 B.E./B.Tech on July 20 Forenoon Session. 40 out of 90 questions were of moderate level
  • Only 16 questions were of difficult level in the exam, while the remaining 34 questions were of easy level
  • Physics and Chemistry had equal number of easy questions
  • The Chemistry section had the least number of difficult level questions
  • 16 out of 30 questions in Mathematics were of moderate level

A candidate must have attempted 65-70 questions to increase the chances of clearing the cutoff.

JEE Main 2021 Questions with Solutions

6 Given below are two statements:
Statement I : Colourless cupric metaborate is reduced to cuprous metaborate in a luminous flame.
Statement II : Cuprous metaborate is obtained by heating boric anhydride and copper sulphate in a non-luminous flame.
In the light of the above statements, choose the most appropriate answer from the options given below.
7 Which of the following reaction/s will not give p− aminoazobenzene?
8 In the given figure, the energy levels of hydrogen atom have been shown along with some transitions marked $A , B , C , D$ and $E$. The transitions $A, B$ and $C$ respectively represent :
9 Four identical particles of equal masses $1 kg$ made to move along the circumference of a circle of radius $1 m$ under the action of their own mutual gravitational attraction. The speed of each particle will be :
10 If an emitter current is changed by $4 mA ,$ the collector current changes by $3.5 mA$. The value of $\beta$ will be
11 Match List -I with List -II
12 Each side of a box made of metal sheet in cubic shape is 'a' at room temperature 'T', the coefficient of linear expansion of the metal sheet is ' $\alpha^{\prime}$. The metal sheet is heated uniformly, by a small temperature $\Delta T ,$ so that its new temperature is $T +\Delta T$. Calculate the increase in the volume of the metal box.
13 A cube of side 'a' has point charges $+ Q$ located at each of its vertices except at the origin where the charge is $-Q$. The electric field at the centre of cube is:
