Speaking about the exam pattern, JEE Main 2021 Exam Pattern for B.Planning includes subjects such as Mathematics, Aptitude, and Planning. Drawing Test will also be a part of the examination.
Freehand drawing: Simple drawing showing the entire object in its right proportion and form, relative location, surface texture, and details of its components in suitable scale, Ordinary domestic or everyday life utilizable objects like equipment, furniture, etc.
Geometrical drawing: Activities in geometrical drawing containing lines, triangles, angles, quadrilaterals, circles, polygons, Study of plan (aerial view), elevation (side or front views) of simple solid objects like cones, prisms, splayed surface holders, cylinders, cubes, etc.
Three-dimensional perception: Perception and appreciation of 3D forms with building elements, volume colour, and orientation, Visualization through constituting objects in memory.
Imagination and aesthetic sensitivity: Composition activity with given elements, Context mapping, Creativity test through an uncommon innovative check with recognizable objects, Logic of colour grouping.
Architectural awareness: General awareness and interest of famous architectural creations – within the country and outside, places and celebrities (architects, designers etc.)

Drawing test in Aptitude Test in Architecture tests a candidate’s drawing skills. With that, it also checks how well a candidate observes their surroundings and is able to interpret it through drawings. Rather than just coloring skills or artistic capabilities, Aptitude Test looks at the transfer of thoughts from mind to paper. Below are mentioned some of the important Topics for JEE Main 2021 Aptitude Test:
Perception of 3 dimensional. For a given object, building forms and elements candidate has to understand and appreciate the scale and proportion of objects with an understanding of color texture, harmony, and contrast.
Design and draw geometrical or abstract shapes and patterns in pencil.
2D and 3D transformation union, subtraction, rotation.
Development of surfaces and volumes
Plan generation
3D elevations
3D views of objects
Create 2D or 3D compositions with certain shapes and forms given in questions.
Sketch scenes and activities from memory of places usually found in urban areas.
We have compiled a list of all previous years’ JEE Mains Paper 2 question papers. To crack any examination, you need to take practice sets, mock tests & previous year papers. Here are some benefits of Solving JEE Mains previous papers:
Taking mock tests & JEE Mains papers a few days before the actual exam will bring you closer to the real test environment.
It improves your sitting habit, you won’t feel uneasy in the exam.

Preparation Tips and Books
Preparation Tips for JEE Main 2021
Understand Concepts
Instead of learning by rote, focus on understanding the concept before moving on to the next topic.
Refer to both Class XI and XII books for Maths especially.
Division of Syllabus
Divide your syllabus into monthly and weekly segments and assign practical targets to achieve them.
Follow your plan strictly to complete the syllabus on time.
Work on Drawing
Work on your observation skills and drawing to prepare for the Aptitude and Drawing tests.
You may join a coaching class for drawing practice.
Utilize your Engineering Drawing notes for 2D/3D questions’ preparation.
Doubt Clearing Sessions
Clear your doubt at the earliest to avoid any confusion later.
Try to add variation in your daily study schedule, like study Maths, Drawing, and Aptitude related topics, to avoid monotony.
Prepare Revision Notes
Make revision notes/flashcards on concepts, formulae, definitions, etc. for each topic.
These notes will help you in the final weeks of the examination to have a quick look again and again without going through the whole topic.
Mock Test and Sample Papers
Solve enough sample papers and previous years’ tests to develop pace and practice.
You can even take online mock tests for practice.
