AIEEE 2012 Question Paper with answer key conducted on 29th April in the forenoon session (9:30AM to 12:30PM) is available for download. The Central Board of Secondary Education conducted AIEEE 2012 exam at the national level to offer admissions to IITs, NITs, and other prestigious engineering colleges across the country. However, since 2013, AIEEE has been replaced with JEE Main exam.

AIEEE 2012 Paper Analysis

The exam consisted of 90 multiple choice questions which were to be solved in 3 hours. 30 MCQs belonged to each section namely Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Questions were from different topics with varying difficulty levels. The overall difficulty level of the exam was moderate to high.

Applicants found the Physics section tough. It was the most time-consuming and difficult section. Physics mostly contained comprehension-based questions. Physical and Organic chemistry contained most of the chemistry section. Chemistry was easy to moderate in terms of overall difficulty. There were no major errors or discrepancies found in the paper.

The most scoring section was mathematics as most of the questions were direct and formula-based. They could easily be solved by applying formulae. The important topics were Algebra, Calculus, and Coordinate Geometry.

Candidates can solve JEE Main question papers to cover a variety of questions. To enhance the preparation level, candidates can also solve AIEEE Previous Year Question Papers as the syllabus of AIEEE was similar to JEE Main.
