CAT exam is conducted for MBA/ PGDM admission to 20 IIMs and other top management colleges in India. There are many other MBA institutes apart from IIM that accept CAT scores for MBA/ PGDM admissions like FMS Delhi, DMS, SPJIMR, and many others. CAT 2021 Admission process has started in various non-IIMs mentioned in the article below.

CAT 2021 Result on January 3, 2022, for the exam conducted on Nov 28, 2021. To get into the top IIMs, candidates need to score 99+ percentile. Since CAT is a highly competitive exam with around 1.91 lakh test-takers for CAT 2021, hence it becomes extremely important to be aware of the top MBA colleges other than IIMs accepting CAT scores.

Department of Management Studies, IIT Delhi

Established in 1993, the Department of Management Studies, IIT Delhi is also known as DMS admits candidates for the MBA program based on the CAT Scores.

Admission Process- Candidates applying to IIT Delhi MBA programs have to qualify CAT exam. Then, they will be shortlisted and invited for the online PI round. CAT 2021 Selection Process will begin in the second week of March 2022. Follow the schedule given below for more details:

  • Cut Off- Getting a percentile above 98 will give you a high chance to get you through to the next admission process.
  • Placements- In 2019-21, the highest domestic salary offered to the candidates was 33.8 LPA, and the average salary was 18.5 LPA.

FMS, Delhi is listed at the top when it comes to colleges accepting CAT 2021Scores other than IIMs and in terms of ROI (Return on Investment). Admission to the MBA Program is made based on CAT scores. Shortlisting criteria for students is similar to that of IIMs. From now, candidates need high sectional scores to get shortlisted for PI rounds at FMS Delhi

  • Eligibility- The eligibility set by FMS, Delhi for MBA aspirants is that he/she must have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with 50% aggregate. Relaxation of 5% is provided to reserved category candidates. 
  • Cut Off- Candidates have to score a percentile around 99 to be eligible for admission to this institute.
  • Placements- FMS has excellent placement records. For the batch of 2020-21, the average package was around 21 LPA. The highest international package was 1.02 crore per annum, and the highest domestic package was 66 LPA.

SP Jain Institute of Management and Research is a private business school that is affiliated with Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan.

  • Admission Process- The selection is made based on the scores in exams XAT/CAT/GMAT and it includes Written Ability Test and Personal Interview (which factors in the past academic record and relevant work experience).
