IIM Calcutta CAT 2022 Cut off and admission criteria 2023-25 has been released. The overall qualifying CAT 2022 Cut off is 85 percentile for the general category, 75 percentile for NC-OBC/ EWS, and 70 percentile for SC category. Candidates who meet the minimum CAT cut off will be called for the WAT and PI rounds based on the the composite score.
The weights assigned to different parameters are 56 to CAT score, 10 to class 10 marks, 15 to class 12 marks.

Stage I: Minimum CAT percentile cut-offs to be considered for PI

CAT 2022 cut off for admission in IIM Calcutta has been released by the institute for admission in 2023-25 batch.
Candidates qualifying sectional and overall cut off will be shortlisted for the Stage II of the admission process.

Stage II: Short-listing for PI

Stage III: Criteria for Final Selection for the MBA Programme

Based on the candidates who appeared in Stage II, a composite score for the final selection will be derived.

The Composite Score is calculated on the basis of CAT score, Class 10 and Class 12 aggregate percentages and Gender Diversity Factor. Eligibility for PGP-PGDM in IIM Calcutta

IIM Calcutta Admission Criteria for admission to PGP-PGDM Course is given below-

Valid CAT Score
A candidate should have completed a bachelor’s degree (in any stream) with at least 50% marks.
5%-mark relaxation is given to the candidates belonging to reserved category (SC/ST/PwD).
In case, a candidate is awarded grades or CGPA instead of marks, the conversion of grades and CGPA to percentage of marks would be based on the procedure certified by the university/ institution from where the bachelor’s degree has been obtained.
For the university/institute which doesn’t have any scheme for converting CGPA into equivalent marks then it can be obtained by multiplying the maximum CGPA with 100.
The partial fulfilment of minimum eligibility criteria may result in cancellation of candidature as it is verified at various stages of IIM Calcutta selection process.

What is Gender Diversity Factor?

Gender diversity component is applicable only for the pre-PI rank list for interview calls, and will not be applicable for phase 2 of the admissions process. It is further divided into- Academic and Gender.

The Academic Diversity Factor ensures diversity in academic streams and the Gender Diversity factor aims at a proper ratio of males to females, by awarding a certain percentage of marks to the female candidates.

The weightage of these factors varies depending on the institute.

Personal Interview (PI)

Candidates based on their composite score will be called for the PI stage of the selection process.

IIM Calcutta Admission Criteria uses a 2-phase selection process- Clearing CAT Cut Off, and Personal Interview (PI).
Candidates shortlisted for the PI process will be further judged on various parameters.
During the personal interview, the panel will evaluate each candidate's performance on academic background, quality of work experience and other personal traits.
For work experience, a maximum of 8 points will be awarded depending on the length of service.
Only managerial work experience after graduation will be considered.
Training/Project work/work done as an integral part of curricular requirement will not be considered.

The final selection list of CAT will be based on merit in each category, minimum qualification on the above-mentioned criteria would not automatically qualify the candidate for admission into IIM Calcutta. IIM Calcutta reserves the right to make changes in IIM Calcutta Admission Procedure, if considered necessary at any point
