IIM Kozhikode CAT 2022 Cut off and Admission Criteria for the MBA batch 2023-25 has been released at the official website of the institute. CAT 2022 overall cut off is 85 for GN, 75 for NC-OBC/ EWS, 65 for SC, and 55 for ST/ PwD. IIM Kozhikode Sectional CAT Cut off 2022 is 75, 65, 55, 45 for GN, OBC/ EWS, SC, and ST respectively. In stage 2, eligible registered candidates will be shortlisted for WAT and PI based on the Aggregate Index Score (AIS). The PI shortlist will be released after January 21, 2023.

After the WAT and PI rounds, the final composite score will be calculated for the selection of candidates. In the final stage score calculation, 35% weightage each will be assigned to CAT 2022 and PI scores, 20% to WAT, and 10% to Candidate’s Resume Score. IIM Kozhikode CAT 2022 Cut off

Stage 1: Registration of Candidates Meeting the Minimum Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who have opted for IIM Kozhikode and fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria will receive an email for online registration for admissions to IIM Kozhikode. Completing the online registration process is the mandatory step to be considered for Stage 2. Other Minimum Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should secure positive (greater than zero) raw marks in all the sections of CAT 2022
Candidates having a graduation degree need a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in their graduation degree.
Candidates not having a graduation degree need a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in CA/ICWA/CS to qualify.
The candidates fulfilling the minimum eligibility criteria will receive an email for online registrations for admission in IIM-K

Stage 2: Shortlisting for Personal Interview (PI)

Stage 2 process is only applicable to the candidates who have complete the registration based on Stage 1.
A shortlist of candidates in each category will be prepared based on an Aggregate Index Score (AIS). The weight of each component in the AIS is mentioned below:

How to apply for IIM Kozhikode?

Candidates who have applied for CAT 2022 are eligible to apply for PGP in IIM Kozhikode.
During the time of CAT registration students have to select IIM Kozhikode as one of the desired choices, if not then they will not be eligible for admission in this college.

IIM-K Admissions Process for Foreign Students

International candidates could be Indian Nationals or Foreign Nationals with a valid passport residing outside India or not in the condition to take CAT. For these candidates criteria for taking admission in IIM-K is different. For Indian nationals to qualify as an Internation candidate, he/ she must be resident outside India for a period of not less than 18 months as of December 31, 2022. The candidate should also produce a certificate from the embassy of the country in which he is currently residing.

Eligibility Criteria

Undergraduate or higher with a minimum of 3 years course attended at some university with a major.
50% marks or equivalent CGPA.
A valid score in any of the given tests:
- GMAT score (total scaled score of at least 560)
- CAT score- 80 percentile
- GRE- 60 percentile or overall 320 score
Foreigners from Non-English speaking countries TOFEL with more than 70 percentage is compulsory.
The candidate has to appear for Personal Interview, which is part of the selection procedure.

Application and Fee Structure for International Candidates

Shortlisted candidates will be called for a virtual PI round. Final selection will be on the basis of the average interview marks given by a panel of experts comprising two or more faculty members of IIM Kozhikode.

The current annual course fees for Foreign Candidates US $15000, i.e. total USD 30000 for 2 years. The fee includes tuition fees, course study material, boarding, and lodging. It does not include the personal expenses of students.

Executive Post Graduate Program (EPGP) at IIM Kozhikode

EPGP program offered at IIM-K is the best option for working professionals and for executives who want to enhance their skills or strategies so that they can take their organization to new heights.

IIM Ahmedabad v/s IIM Kozhikode Admission Through CAT

The admission criteria and selection procedure of IIM Ahmedabad is a little different from IIM Kozhikode. Some of the major differences in the admission process of IIM A are listed below.

Ans. Before taking any decision, you must go through all three options that you have in great detail. There are a few reasons why you should not go for IIM-Kozhikode. First, the fees are extremely high, estimated to be around Rs 19.00 lakh. Second, the average package offered at IIMK is around 16-17L, and you will earn more than that after two years. But, once again, if you are desperate for an MBA, you can enroll in IIMK, which comes with the 'IIM' label, which will be very useful in the long run. Give CAT once more. You only need to get a high CAT score and then leave the rest up to their selection process. Second, CAT is extremely unpredictable. With proper preparation, you can achieve excellent results. So, if you're willing to work another year and are confident enough to take the CAT, this is the perfect way to take it. You should look into PGPX from ISB or elsewhere. Ans. Every IIMS and other management colleges make a shortlist based on the percentile after CAT result is declared. With percentile, IIMs also consider other factors like academics, category, gender factor, diversity, etc. The list is made for the second round i.e. GD/PI or WAT/PI. GD/WAT will have a generic topic. There can be a topic from current affairs. PI is taken by some of the faculty and alumni of the institute. In institutes like FMS, there is an extempore after PI. After these rounds, a final shortlist is made with weightage given to GD/PI or WAT/PI performance and CAT percentile. Individual IIMs also have some additional factors. The offer letters are then sent out to top candidates in each category up to the maximum number of seats. The rest candidates are waitlisted. Ans. I know this decision is a bit difficult to make. What you need to keep in mind is that these two colleges should not be compared to other great IIMs or even ISBs. Those B Schools are at another level and cannot be on par with Kashipur or Raipur. To facilitate a better decision, I will mention the circumstances of these B Schools then you can choose after considering all options. IIM Indore and IIM Kashipur: Both these colleges are not worth a year drop as they will help you earn only an extra 1.5-2 LPA. Moreover, in the coming years, Kashipur and Raipur will have almost the same brand value as that Indore and Kozhikode. IIM Ahmedabad, Calcutta, Lucknow and Bangalore: All these top IIMs are definitely worth a year's drop provided that you are confident enough to cope with the cutoff. All these IIMs consider your academics while selecting so if that is your reason for the year drop I don’t think it will help. There is no surety of admission even after a percentile of 100. ISB: This one is at a whole different level and is in the category of elite B Schools like UCB, NYU, HBS, etc. The top-notch faculty offers amazing pedagogy at relatively low fees. CAT is sufficient for IIMs. But if you want to go for ISB, a work experience of 4+ years and a GMAT are a must. Read more

For final selection, students are usually shortlisted based on their past academic performance, entrance examination score, and performance in GD-PI. Ans. Here are some of the things that you will realize after appearing for the CAT examination. Spend the first few minutes going over the papers before diving in. Browse through the problems and start with the ones that you know you can solve in one go. CAT prioritizes solving not sequence. If you aren’t sure about an answer, leave it. Concentrate on other problems. You shouldn’t spend more than 2-3 minutes on a single problem. Don’t use the elimination method, if you can solve the problem in less than 1 minute. Do rough work thoroughly. Don’t answer any questions, just by guessing. There will be a few lengthy questions. Try to ignore these. Even CAT toppers don’t score the full marks.
