SPJIMR (S.P Jain Institute of Management and Research) Mumbai offers admission to PGDM admission based on CAT scores. For 2022-24 admission, only CAT 2021 and GMAT scores will be considered. XAT 2022 scores will not be considered for PGDM admissions. Candidates who have filled the application forms till Nov 26, 2021, are eligible for admission. SPJIMR Mumbai will soon release its CAT cut offs as CAT 2021 Result has already been announced on Jan 3, 2022. Last year the overall & sectional CAT Cut Off for admission in SPJIMR were 85 and 75 percentile respectively. Qualifying Exam

Academic Background

Applicant must have a strong academic background. Performance at all levels of education i.e. senior secondary level (10th), higher secondary level (12th), and throughout graduation is considered.

10th and 12th Grade
  1. Aggregate of all subjects mentioned in the mark sheet are considered for arriving at the final percentage, irrespective of the considering parameters of the university.
  2. If the board/university awards marks in grades/points (CGPA), then they have to be converted into percentage through the applicable converter. A conversion certificate might be asked to submit if you are shortlisted.
Graduation
  1. A bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% of marks or equivalent CGPA.
  2. The bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification must be of minimum three years after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent.
  3. Applicants in the last year of degree are also eligible to apply, provided they score a minimum of 50% in their last exam appeared, and are able to get a Provisional Certificate from the Principal/Registrar of his/her university.
  4. For the applicants awaiting their final year results, final percentage will be calculated on the basis of marks secured in previous semesters.
  5. Upon selection of applicants from C and D category, have to provide their final degree by 21 December 2021, until which their admission will be considered provisional. Failure to do so can lead to admission cancellation.
  6. Bachelor’s degree of an Indian applicant who has pursued/pursuing education abroad, should be recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), or other appropriate authorities.

Work Experience Requirements

  • Having prior work experience is not mandatory for this program. Recent graduates or applicants with up to five years of work experience can apply.
  • Relevant work experience after graduation will be considered excluding internships/training which are taken as a part of the curriculum.
  • Proof of work experience such as offer letter, salary slips, and experience letter will have to be provided.

How to Apply for SPJIMR PGDM Admission 2022-24?

Candidates willing to apply for PGDM program can go through the steps given below:

  • Visit the official website of SPJIMR
  • On the top of the page is ‘Admission’, click it.
  • Look for the preferred MBA Programme link and click ‘Apply’. 
  • Log-in using your email id and password. 
  • Fill the application form and pay the requisite fee. 
  • A confirmation mail will be sent on your email id. 

SPJIMR Fee Structure

The fee for Indian students for the batch of 2020-21 is INR 17.50 lakhs. The fee includes:

  • Tuition fee
  • Basic hostel/accommodation
  • Global Fast Track (provides exposure to students at premier b-schools in the US).

It does not include travel expenses, boarding, lodging, visa, insurance, and incidentals for Global Fast Track. Applicants selected for the PGDM program are eligible for merit cum means-based financial assistance. However, any financial assistance will be made available only when the program commences. SPJIMR communicates directly to the shortlisted candidates, there is no mediator that can confirm admission. Therefore candidates/their parents should not involve themselves in any kind of transaction asked by the mediators.

There are several rounds for a candidate to qualify the selection criteria of the university. Candidates are separated on the basis of Profile-based and Profile-cum-score based. 

For PGDM

  • Applicants grouped under the first category are called for an interview round. Factors such as:

For PGCIM

  • Candidates shortlisted on the basis of CAT scores.
  • Candidates are further called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
  • Final selection is on the basis of CAT scores, clear career plans, a sound purpose of taking up the program, etc.

For PGPM

  • Candidates are shortlisted on the basis of the entrance exam score.
  • Selected candidates are called for Personal Interview.
