NTPC School of Business (NSB) is an AICTE approved, an extended section of NTPC, which offers Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) Executive program. Students, especially the working professionals, can obtain the PGDM degree with a specialization in Energy Management. Academic support is provided by IIM Ahmedabad (IIMA).
Admissions to the PGDM courses are done through different National Level Entrance examinations like CAT/GMAT/XAT followed by personal interviews. The applicants’ academic performance and work experience are also considered at the time of admission.

The selection process mainly focuses on the marks obtained in the Bachelor's degree programs. Selection to PGDM in Energy Management is done on the basis of Admission Score (AS) and Personal Assessment (PA) whereas selection to PGDM Executive is done on the basis of CAT/GMAT score for the Self-Sponsored candidates or, Admission Test is conducted by NSB/IIM-A followed by a Personal Interview.
The applicants are required to possess Bachelor’s degree (BE/ B.Tech/ B.Sc. / B.Com/ CA/ ICWA/ equivalent) with at least 50% marks or CGPA awarded by any recognized institute or university. A relaxation of 5% is given for the candidates under the categories of SC/ST/DA/PWD, who are applying for the PGDM in Energy Management programs.
