IIM Indore has modified selection process for its flagship academic programs, personal interview will be held online mode of the shorlisted candidates. Moreover WAT process has been dropped for PGP and PGP-HRM programmes owing to COVID-19 Outbreak. Overall qualifying percentile is fixed at 90 for Unreserved category, 80 for OBC-NCL, 60 for SC category and 50 for ST respectively.

CAT Result was declared on January 4 and IIM Indore released WAT/PI shortlist on January 10, 2020. Official statement said that “COVID-19 has impacted the admission process in March 2020, Since conducting online WAT was not possible, it has been scrapped and its weightage will not be considered in final selection”. Candidates who meet overall and sectional CAT Cutoff  are selected for PI round.

IIM Indore offers management programmes such as Post-Graduate Program in Management (PGP), Integrated Program in Management (IPM), Post Graduate Program in Human Resource Management (PGP-HRM), Fellow Program in Management (FPM), and FPM (Industry). It has an accredidation by the Association of MBAs (AMBA, a UK based accredidation firm) for post graduate programs.

Eligibility Criteria for PGP / PGP-HRM Admissions 2020

  • Prospective applicant must possess a Bachelor’s degree with atleast 50% marks in aggregate or an equivalent grade point average (for SC / ST / PwD candidates there is a 5% relaxation)
  • Candidates who are in their last year are also eligible on the contingency that they can show a certificate that proves that they have the required aggregate upon graduation
  • Such candidates need to submit their marksheet and degree certificate upon graduating to be eligible for admission to the PGP bach 2020-22. Deadline for the submission is December 31, 2020

Selection Process for PGP / PGP-HRM Admissions 2020

  • Candidates who wish to gain admission in the PGP Programme have to sit for CAT
  • Candidates will be assessed on three main factors. primarily applicants need to qualify the eligibility criteria, secondly they need to clear the shortlist for the Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI), and finally they will be in line for the final selection process. Stage 1

Prospective applicants must clear the eligibility criteria set for PGP 2020 candidates, which includes satisfying not only the overall percentile scores for CAT , but also the sectional percentile requirements. Only applicants who qualify both of these criteria will be considered for Stage 2 of the selection process.

Eligilibility Criteria for IPM Admissions 2020

  • Candidates should have been born or after August 01, 1999. Candidates from the SC / Pwd / ST category will get 5 years of relaxation
  • Candidates should have qualified XII / HSC or any equivalent examination or should be appearing for it in 2019
  • A minimum 60% aggregate in X / SSC and XII / HSC is mandatory for eligibility . For SC / ST / PwD candidates there is a 5% relaxation
  • Students who are pursuing their 10th and 12th grade from international schools that have IGCSE or IB affiliations are also eligible for this programme

Selection Process for IPM 

  • Prospective applications should have submitted their application on the official website starting from March 14,2019 till April 14, 2019 and paid the non-refundable fee of INR 3,540. Fee for SC / ST / PwD category candidates is set at INR 1,770
  • Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of three main assessments: Aptitute Test (AT), Personal Interview (PI) and Written Ability Test (WAT). 

Stage 1:  Candidates who qualify the minimum eligibility criteria should have submitted their application online on the official portal

Stage 2: Candidates who fulfiiled the minimum eligibility criteria are generally called for the Aptitude Test that is conducted across various cities in India

Stage 3: Candidates are shortlisted for the Written Ability Test and Personal Interview

Note: 5% relaxation is given to SC / ST / PwD candidates 

  • Candidates who in their final year can also apply but their admission is contingent on the fact that they can submit a certificate by June 10, 2020 that is approved by a higher authority which states that they have appeared for all examinations for obtaining their Master’s / Bachelor’s / equivalent qualification.

Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their application form. Selection process will be as follows: 

Stage 1: Candidates who qualify the academic eligibility criteria should submit their applications online.

Stage 2: Candidates that satisfy the academic eligibility criteria and acceptable standard test scores will be shortlisted and called for a Personal Interview (PI).

Stage 3: According to their performance in the Personal Interview (PI), candidates will be selected for the final stage of selection.

Stage 4:  Final selection will include an all round assesment of the candidate and an area-based offer list will be preparared. Candidates who have been selected will recieve provisional admission offers.

  • Candidates who will be shortlisted will be called for an interview will be informed about the city in which their interview will take place (e.g. New Delhi, Indore, Kolkata, Mumbai, Bengaluru or for some candidates even Skype). 
  • Shortlising of candidates will be on the basis of their GMAT Score and whatever criterion is decided by the admission committee
