IIM Calcutta PGP-PGDM Selection Criteria- IIM Calcutta offers 2-year Post-Graduate Program in Management (PGP-PGDM) which is a full-time residential course. The course structure consists of the core curriculum, a summer internship and elective courses (optional).
Admission to PGP-PGDM program at IIM Calcutta is done through CAT score. Qualified candidates on the basis of their marks obtained in CAT exam will participate in Personal Interview (PI) & Written Ability Test (WAT). The final selection is done through overall performance of the candidate.

Candidates are shortlisted for calculation of composite scores after they qualify CAT Cut Off. The overall CAT cut off required for IIM Calcutta Admission Criteria by a general category student is around 90 percentile.
CAT 2019 is scheduled for November 24 through online mode. The registration for same has been started from August 5. The application fee for general candidates is INR 1900 and for reserved candidates INR 900.

After the declaration of CAT result, candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of CAT score, past academic performance (class 10, 12 and graduation) and prior work experience.

Candidates clearing CAT cut off will only be considered for calculation of their composite scores. The shortlisting of candidates for PI is done on the basis of a composite score.
The Composite Score is calculated on the basis of CAT score, Class 10 and Class 12 aggregate percentages and Gender Diversity Factor. The method of allotting points for class 10 and 12 percentages based on aggregate scores is mentioned below:

The composite cut-off score is used for short-listing the candidates for the PI stage in each category. The number of candidates shortlisted for the PI stage would be the discretion of the institute and would depend on the number of seats available.

Gender diversity component is applicable only for the pre-PI rank list for interview calls, and will not be applicable for phase 2 of the admissions process. It is further divided into- Academic and Gender.
The Academic Diversity Factor ensures diversity in academic streams and the Gender Diversity factor aims at a proper ratio of males to females, by awarding a certain percentage of marks to the female candidates.
The weightage of these factors varies depending on the institute.

The final selection list of CAT will be based on merit in each category, minimum qualification on the above-mentioned criteria would not automatically qualify the candidate for admission into IIM Calcutta.
