Doon Business School MBA Selection Process

Before taking part in the selection procedure, candidates will have to appear in any of the following examination: CAT /MAT/ CMAT/ XAT/ GMAT. Based on the applications received, candidates will be called for Group discussion and Personal Interview.

Final selection for admission will be made on the basis of marks secured in the entrance examination, at the graduation level, and in the GDPI.

Stage 1: Application Process

All the aspirants who want to take admission in MBA program at Doon Business School will have to apply online through the official website www.doonbusinessschool.com/apply-online.html and pay 1000 INR as the registration fees and uploading all the asked documents. 

Aspirants will have to select their choice of location for Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Alternately, they may opt for appearing in a Skype Interview and online Case study analysis. 

Aspirants will also have to appear in any one of the management entrance tests, as admission will be done on the basis of it. 

Stage 2: Personal Interview and Group Discussion

The Personal Interviews and Group Discussion for candidates will be conducted between April and June at various cities including Bangalore, Delhi, Mumbai and Dehradun.

Group Discussion

• In Group Discussions, students will be divided into a group of 8-10 participants. Group is given a topic to discuss among themselves for 20-30 minute. 
• In Group Discussion, the committee normally checks for leadership qualities, confidence, content and delivery. It’s a process to screen the Aspirants’ potential as well as their skills. 

Personal Interview

• Personal Interview is mainly to assess the confidence, thought clarity, interpersonal and soft skills of the aspirant. 
• Personal Interview duration depends totally on Aspirants.
• The purpose of conducting a personal interview is to explore the responses of the Aspirant, his/her interpersonal and soft skills, confidence and thought clarity to gather more and deeper information/understanding about the Aspirant.

Candidates who have opted for the online process will be accessed on the basis of case study analysis and Interviews will be conducted over G-talk/Skype in online mode via the Internet. Such candidates will have to choose the online method while filling up the form.

Stage 3: Selection

The admission committee will evaluate the overall performance of the candidates and prepares the final list of the selected candidates. These candidates are offered seats in the MBA programmes in the Doon Business School, Dehradun. 

In addition to MAT/CAT/CMAT/XAT/GMAT and GDPI performance, DBS also factor in academic ability and the relevant work experience, extra-curricular activities etc. while preparing the final list.

• 2 passport size photographs
• Class 10 marks sheet & pass certificate

• Graduation mark sheets for all 3/4 years. (If the applicant is currently in the final year of graduation, he/she needs to submit the mark sheets of the previous years only)

Doon Business School MBA Admission Process

• After being shortlisted, students will receive an admission letter (offer letter). 
• On receipt of the letter, students have to confirm their admission within 15 days from the date of receiving. 
• Candidates will have to deposit the course admission fees which is 35,000 INR for MBA program to confirm their admission. 
• The fees can be deposited online through the official website or through bank draft in favour of Doon Business School for MBA payable at Dehradun. 
• On receipt of the above fees within the stipulated time, the student will be issued the confirmed admission letter clearly stating if he/she has been approved for the value addition programs or not.
• Candidates who have received the confirmed admission letter shall have to deposit the balance fees for the first year within next 30 days of confirmation of admission.
