No worries, even if CAT 2019 is just a few days away from your doorstep. Until now you have been swimming through the ocean of mock tests and study materials. Do not make a mistake of stressing yourself out during the last days. The majority of top rankers suggest, relaxing your body and mind before the examination is the best practice for better performance.

  • Do Not Entertain Any New Concept

Shut the door for any new concept. This is not the right time to waste your energy on something new. Revise what you have already prepared. To ace a new concept you need to put some effort into it and, there will be no time left for revision. Focus on what you have already learned and prepared.

  • Practice TITA Questions

As we know Non-MCQs or as popularly known as Type in the Answer (TITA) have no negative marking, that is why it is suggested by many top rankers to attempt these questions first during the exam. First attempt TITA questions then go to MCQs with negative marking. Practice TITA questions as much as possible, as these are Non-MCQs you must work on your speed to handle these.

  • Run Through Important Formulas and Topics

Keep rereading all the important formulas and topics that you have already prepared. It is always suggested to keep a note of all the important topics and formulas for quick revision, right before the examination. It will keep these fresh in your mind.

  • Make smart attempts

It is not compulsory to attempt the entire questions in the section nor it is possible. Play smart and learn to skip a question that you think is consuming your time. Even if you know a lot of the questions it is still suggested by many to not waste your time in attempting all the questions. Utilize your time in attempting questions you are 100% sure of and try to attempt as much as you can in each section equally. You should have a clear idea in your head about how many questions you aim to attempt per section to achieve your desired percentile. Move with a plan.

  • Keep your Sectional Strategies ready

Since by now you have already identified your weak and strong zones, you must have your sectional exam day strategies ready. However, since CAT is an unpredictable exam, you shouldn’t completely rely on such strategies. You should be able to mold your strategy as per the question paper.

  • Maintain a healthy diet and sleep schedule

Yes, we often tend to ignore this part easily. Many think it is not important enough to be mentioned as an important tip. However, on the contrary, it is the secret ingredient for the success of many high rankers. Eating healthy will keep your mind and body active and alert. Sleep will help you with your memory.
