CAT Mock Test 2019: IIM Kozhikode has released CAT 2019 Mock test on October 16, 2019 at its official website. Mock tests are the best way to prepare for the exam. With an aim to give a clear understanding of CAT exam pattern and the type of questions asked in the exam, the exam conducting authority releases the exam tutorials each year. Candidates can avail this facility free of cost.
Before taking the final exam candidates are recommended to take official CAT mock test. Through the available mock tests, candidates will be able to recognize their level of preparation and areas of strength and weaknesses over which they need to work more for better results.

Along with the official mock test, candidates can also take the mock test prepared by Collegedunia. Apart from the online mock test, candidates may download and practice CAT Sample Papers. It is to be noted that a separate CAT mock test link is released for PWD category candidates.

Before taking the official mock test, candidates must understand the steps that are needed to be followed to take the test:
Step 1 - Click on the mock test link
Step 2 - Login Page will appear, click on “Sign In”
Step 3 - A page containing all the instructions will appear. Click on next and mark the checkbox.
Step 4 - Click on “I am ready to begin”.
Step 5 - Mock test will start and along with it, the timer will also start.
Step 6 - Mark your answer and click on “Save and Next” to navigate on the next question.
On-Screen Calculator
The mock test contains the on-screen calculator which will help candidates to perform the calculations needed in the questions of the quantitative aptitude section.
On-screen Timer
The on-screen timer is located at the top-right corner of the mock test screen which starts with the start of the test. The timer shows the time left to solve a particular section.
Questions Diversity
CAT mock test comprises of both MCQs and Non-MCQ type questions. Through this, candidates get a clear idea about the variety of questions that may be asked in the exam this year. Candidates also get an idea about their navigation from one section to another within the stipulated time frame.
Question Palette
A question palette is displayed on the right-hand side of the screen through which candidates may navigate from one question to another. Above the same, the screen will show the status of each question using one of the following symbols.
Review your Answer
Candidates can review their answers for which they have marked their responses within the section. While practicing the mock test, once the candidate navigates to another section, he/ she won't be able to review the answers.
On-Screen Keyboard
An on-screen keyboard is available. When the candidate selects a question from the question palette, the candidate may type in the answer or select one of the options from multiple choices through the on-screen keyboard.
The test comprises of three sections. Each section is allotted 60 minutes to solve the questions. For PwD category candidates, 80 minutes are allotted for each section.
Once the mock test starts, the timer on the top right corner on the screen will also start. On completion of 60 min i.e. when the timer will be 00:00, the particular section will be locked and the candidates will be directed to the next section.
It is to be noted that the candidates will not be able to navigate to other section before 60 minutes, i.e., in case a candidate completes the section within 60 minutes then he/she have to wait for the time to complete.
Once the candidate has completed one section and transferred to another section, they won’t be able to change theri responses of the previous section.
Candidates can mark their responses through the on-screen keyboard.
Using the “Save and Next” option, candidates can switch to another question. Candidates may also jump into another question by clicking on the question number given on the question palette.
All the attempted and unattempted questions will be displayed on the question palette on the right corner of the screen.

Ans - CAT mock tests can be taken by directly clicking on “Sign In”. There is no need for any ID and password.
Ques - Is a calculator allowed in CAT?
Ans - Candidates are not allowed to take a calculator. The mock test has an on-screen calculator that can be used for solving the calculative questions.
Ques - What is the total number of questions in the CAT mock test?
Ans - CAT mock test is the replica of the original question paper. Therefore the total number of questions in the official CAT mock test is 100. The section-wise distribution of questions are given below:

Ques - How we can find the correct answers while practicing the CAT mock test? Can I see my correct answers after each section?
Ans - Once the candidates have attempted all the questions of each section, the correct responses will be displayed on the screen. There is no display of correct response after each section.
