CAT 2019 will be conducted by IIM Kozhikode. Every year, the exam is governed by IIMs on a rotational basis. The official notification for CAT 2019 will be released on July 28, 2019. As the examination is conducted on the last Sunday of every November, CAT 2019 is expected to be held on November 24, 2019.

About 2.31 lakh candidates have registered for the entrance test last year and it is expected that more than 2.5 lakh candidates will apply for CAT 2019 as well. The exam score is accepted by more than 200 B-Schools including the 20 IIMs. Thus, candidates seeking admission in PGDM/MBA courses must prepare well for the exam to get into the best MBA institute of the country.

CAT 2019 Important Dates

CAT 2019 will be conducted in two slots. Candidates will get the exact dates of the CAT events once the official notification is released, till then the candidates may consider the tentative details mentioned below. 

CAT Application Form 2019 will be made available soon after the release of official notification on the official website of exam from August 5, 2019. Candidates are given more than 1 month to apply for the exam. The application fee for General Category is expected to increase up to Rs 2000 and reserved category the fee me increase up to Rs 1000.

CAT 2019 Marking Scheme and Exam Pattern

It is assumed that CAT 2019 will be conducted on the same guidelines as of last year. The exam duration will be 180 minutes. Candidates have to attempt 3 sections namely Verbal Reasoning and Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Aptitude and Data Interpretation and logical reasoning.

As CAT 2019 will be conducted on November 24. CAT aspirants have approximately 6 months of preparation. There are numerous books in the market for CAT Preparation but candidates need to find the best ones for themselves. Additionally, candidates are advised to practice mock tests for understanding the exam well.

CAT Result is usually released in the second week of January and those who clear the exam will be eligible for admission to management courses including PGP, PGDM, EPGP, PGPEX, at various IIMs and B-Schools across the country.
