Dates for Releasing CAT Admit Card

CAT Admit Card will be available tentatively in December 2017. Candidates are advised to download CAT 2018 Hall Ticket as early as possible to avoid the last-minute rush. And if they find any mistake in the hall ticket, they should inform the examination authority ASAP. There is no provision to send hall ticket through post or any other offline methods by authority.

Steps to Download CAT Admit Card

The admit card for CAT Exam can be downloaded from your candidate’s account created during CAT Registration. It should be noted that CAT admit card will not be mailed to any candidate. It has to be downloaded from candidate’s account before the exam day. Aspiring candidates can go through these simple steps to download the CAT Admit Card:

• Visit the official website at iimcat.ac.in. A new login window will appear on the screen.
• Enter details such as User ID and Date of Birth.
• Click on “Login” button.
• Click on given link to get CAT Exam Hall Ticket.
• Enter your particulars such as Registration ID and Date of Birth and click on ‘Submit’.
• CAT Admit Card will display on the screen.

If by some unfortunate event you happen to lose your CAT admit card, do not worry. You can go back to the official website for CAT 2018 and download and reprint your admit card. You can download and print your admit card by logging in your candidate’s profile till the exam day.

Discrepancy in CAT 2018 Admit Card

If there is any discrepancy/conflict in the details mentioned in CAT 2018 Admit Card, candidates are advised to immediately contact the concerned authorities for a solution. It is important to contact them to avoid any problem on CAT 2018 exam day.

Documents Required on Exam Day

CAT Admit Card 2018 is most important document to be taken at the time of examination. Without it, candidates will not be allowed to appear in the CAT 2018 exam. They will have to paste a recent photograph. It should be noted that, they must not sign the CAT 2018 Admit Card beforehand as the instructions clearly say that signature should be made in front of the invigilator.

Important Guidelines for CAT Exam

• Locate your test center – Make sure that you reach the right test center on the exam day. Check CAT Admit Card for the address of exam center and visit it before at least 30 minutes before given exam time.
• Avoid last minute preparations – If you have not prepared for some topic so far, it is advisable to not start it just before few hours for the test. Neither would you be able to grasp it nor revise topics you prepared already. It is ok to leave out few topics. Otherwise, it will create confusion and panic at the last moment.
• Relax and stay confident - Relaxation should be the main mantra a day before your CAT 2018 exam. You have worked very hard so far and even if you have not, you cannot make it up in few hours, so the best way is to relax yourself. Confidence is the only key to success, so do not be nervous at all.
• Revision – Revise your shortcuts very well. You will need them during exams to solve your paper at the given time.
• Required Documents and Materials – Make sure you kept all the required documents such as CAT 2018 admit card, ID, etc. along with pen and pencil.
