Group Discussions: Applicants who will fulfill the qualitative requirements will be called for the Group Discussions. The duration of GD will be 30-45 minutes per group. Apart from the GD, this may also include case studies, role plays and extempore speech. GD process will be given 40% of the total weightage in the merit list. This is an elimination round.

Personal Interviews: Personal interview round will carry 30% of the total weightage. This board of experts will gauge the candidates on diverse parameters including the aptness of the candidate for a particular occupation; the board will also give the opportunity to the candidates to add or delete course options.

Merit List: On completion of interviews, we generate a final merit list based on overall performance of the candidates. The applicant is well thought-out for the course when he has preferred according to the main concern mentioned by him/her in the application form

In case, he/she is not selected for the course applied by him/her, then he/she will be considered for other courses and selected on merit

Core areas to analyze are

  • Academic Potential
  • Sound Fundamentals Personal Qualities
  • Leadership Qualities
  • Creative Skills
  • Work Experience (If Any)
  • Extra Curricular activities: What are your achievements in the past?

Points of Significant Importance

  • Students should note that one with a high written test score doesn’t certify a short listing as he/she may be found lacking on other areas on which the Institute lays prominence.
  • In fact, students with a low written test may get shortlisted if they are academic performers / have exhibited leadership qualities / performed exceptionally well on areas of the Institute’s focus.
  • Hence, there is no Cut Off score as solely the written test cannot conclude the selection process.
  • To test emotive aspects of leadership, decision-making skills, ability to handle stress, team orientation, etc. Group Discussions and Interviews have been added as a part of the selection process.
