AIMS Bangalore was established in the year of 1994. This institute is affiliated by Bangalore University and approved by AICTE. The institute offers numerous undergraduate and postgraduate courses but the selection of students who are seeking for admission in MBA course depends on their marks in competitive entrance exams such as CMAT/ MAT/ CAT/ GMAT/ XAT.

  • Application form for all the three courses can be submitted via both online and offline modes.
  • Candidates applying should have a minimum of 50% marks in graduation from any legislative University.
  • Admission will be based on any of the entrance exam score CAT/ MAT/ XAT/ CMAT/ MH-CET scores, Group Discussion and Personal interview.

For admission in the MBA program, all the eligible students will be called for the final selection process which is comprised of four different rounds i.e. Statement of Purpose, Group Discussion, Extempore, and Personal Interview.

But, before appearing for the selection process students have to register themselves by filling an application form. For filling the application form students shall submit INR 1500 as application fees.


AIMS Bangalore MBA: Eligibility Criteria

For getting admission in the MBA program students must satisfy any one of the following eligibility criteria:

  • Applicant must complete graduation under 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 pattern under any discipline with at least aggregate 50% marks from any recognized university
  • Complete honours degree from a UGC recognized university under 10+2+4 pattern with at least aggregate 50% marks including languages
  • Those who completed Bachelor/ Master degree through Correspondence/ Open University system from this university or any other university recognized by law are exempted from 10+2 pattern. But the degree duration must be 3+2 years.

Relaxation

For SC/ ST category candidates, there is a relaxation of 5% in the aggregate marks obtained in the university exams

Note:

  • Students who passed Masters/ Bachelors degree in single sitting are not eligible for admission to the MBA program
  • Admission criteria is based on the valid scores of PGCET/ CAT/ MAT/ ATMA or any state-approved admission test
  • Application forms of those who do not meet the MBA selection criteria will not be entertained

AIMS Bangalore MBA: Selection Process through CAT

Student’s admission is totally based on the MBA selection eligibility criterion which is as follows:

  • Student must scored 60% percentile or above in CMAT/ CAT/ MAT/ GMAT/ XAT
  • Must obtain 50% or above in the graduation
  • An applicant with a minimum of 1-year experience is preferred

In order to get selected in the MBA program student must clear all the four different rounds of the selection process:

  • Statement of Purpose
  • Group Discussion
  • Extempore
  • Personal Interview

The selection process is all about assessing communication skills, presentation skills, and knowledge on current affairs, entrepreneurial abilities, understanding of markets, attitude, and aptness.

AIMS Bangalore MBA: Registration Process for Selection

For admission in MBA course in AIMS Bangalore through CAT candidates have to go through these steps: 

Step 1: Registration

  • Students can apply online by clicking on the portal
  • Click on the New Registration button
  • Enter the personal, academic, and work experience details
  • Students are also required to upload the mandatory documents
  • Applicant have to pay INR 1500/- for registration

Step 2: Screening Interview

  • The preliminary screening interview is scheduled after the eligibility is checked
  • Interview details will be sent to an applicant within 3 days via phone call or email

Step 3: Interview would be conducted over Skype or in person by the MBA professor

Step 4: Selected candidates will be invited to participate in AIMS selection process on the scheduled date

Step 5Attend the selection process i.e. Statement of Purpose, Discussion, Extempore, and Personal Interview

Step 6Students can check their result through online using AIMS Login ID & Password

Step 7: Selected applicant would be processing with Provisional Admission
