Steps to Check TANCET Rank List for M.E/ M.Tech/ M.Arch/ M.Plan
- Open the official admissions website of Anna University for TANCA counselling- admissions.annauniv.edu.
- Click on the link for GATE / TANCET (CEETA PG) merit list.
- Provide TANCET (CEETA PG)/ GATE Registration number, Date of Birth, and email id.
- Click on Enter to submit the details and download the Rank List.
- Click on Reset to re-enter the details.
The following rank lists are prepared for admission through TANCA counselling, based on CEETA PG results:
GATE Category Rank List
- For candidates (Engineering/Technology), Rank list will be prepared on the basis of GATE qualified score in an appropriate discipline of Engineering/Technology.
- For candidates (Engineering Science XE, Life Science XL), Rank list will be prepared based on GATE qualified score in Engineering Science (XE) and Life Science (XL) papers and TANCET 2023 with a weight of 70:30 respectively.
- A CML (Common Rank List) is prepared for GATE (Engineering/Technology) and GATE (Engineering Science XE, Life Science XL).
TANCET Category Rank List
Rank List is prepared on the basis of marks secured by candidates in TANCET 2023.
Sponsored Category Rank List
- A limited number of seats are made available to candidates employed and sponsored by Governmental organizations, Government aided educational institutions and registered professional architects with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience.
- Rank list is prepared on the basis of TANCET (CEETA PG) 2023. Candidates will be admitted only to the University Departments of Anna University, Chennai.
- Candidates with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience will be considered for admission to the M.Arch program under the sponsored category in the University Departments of Anna University and School of Planning and Architecture.

GATE Qualifying Marks for TANCA 2023
Candidates who have appeared for GATE are eligible for a stipend funded by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. They have to score marks equivalent to the minimum qualifying marks mentioned in the table above.
TANCA Counselling 2023 for M.Tech/M.E./M.Arch/M.Plan
Counselling fee of ₹5300/- (₹300/- refundable) must be paid through DD or Cash. SC/ST/SCA candidates have to pay ₹1150/-. Along with a Bachelor Degree with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/SCA), the candidates are required to have any one of the following:
- TANCET Score 2023
- GATE qualified valid score in the appropriate discipline of Engineering/Technology.
- GATE qualified valid score in Engineering Science (XE) and Life Science (XL) along with TANCET 2023 score

The TANCET cut-off is determined by the following factors: Availability of seats Total number of applicants for TANCET Total number of test participants The exam's level of difficulty. TANCET requires a score of 60-65 to achieve the 99%ile. The TANCET percentile score is calculated using the following formula: Percentile Score on the TANCET: (Y/N)*100 In this case, Y represents the total number of test takers with a lower score.
