BCA eligibility criteria can vary depending on the institution offering the program. Generally, the eligibility criteria for BCA is that the candidates should have completed their 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board with a minimum of 40% to 60% aggregate marks in any stream (Science/Commerce/Arts). The minimum eligibility criteria for taking admission to DU SOL BCA are as follows:

  • Candidates must have scored a minimum aggregate of 55% marks in the senior secondary examination. 
  • Students have to appear for the DUET examination. 
  • No upper age limit is there to appear for the DUET examination.

IGNOU BCA Eligibility

Christ University BCA Eligibility

Eligibility criteria for BCA in Amity University:

  • The candidates must have passed the 10+2 level examination with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized state or Central Board

VIT BCA Eligibility

To be eligible for the BCA program at VIT, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Jamia Hamdard BCA Eligibility

To be eligible for the BCA program at Jamia Hamdard, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Candidates must have passed the Senior Secondary examination with Mathematics as one of the compulsory subjects from CBSE or as an equivalent.

SRM University BCA Eligibility

LPU BCA Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for admission to the BCA program at LPU are as follows:

  • A 10+2 pass with 50% aggregate marks (with English) or equivalent.
  • Candidates who did not study English as a subject may be exempted from the English requirement if the candidate studied English in the qualifying examination.
  • 5% relaxation will be provided to North-East states and Sikkim candidates or Defence Personnel.

The cutoff for a BCA at Holkar Science College is approximately 85-90% in the first list. This will be followed by the second and third lists, if students from the first list do not join the college. The second list the cut off will be around 80% and for the third list it will be around 70-75%. This is for the general category students.

Students who belong to the SC or ST category will have the cut off around 60-65%.

If you wish to do BCA from Holkar Science College then it is suggested that you change your decision. Holkar Science College is not quite good for BCA, as the course started recently and is relatively new. It does not hold much experience. If you want to study here then opt for a B.Sc. than a BCA.

If you have a rank of 3000-4000, you should get admission easily in BCA at SHUATS. I have also known people who got admission with 5000+ rank. But if you don’t want to do a post-graduate then doing a B.Tech will be better. You can also do a B.Sc degree in Computer Science and pursue an MCA degree after.
