Ques
What are the merits and demerits of Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering (SVCE) Sriperumbudur?

● Top Answer By Rohan Bose on 23 Jun 21

Ans
Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering is among the best engineering colleges in this league. At least their students tend to boast about it. It has a remarkable infrastructure and an enormous library to complement it. This college is affiliated with Anna University and provides terrific placement opportunities in South India. However, according to the students, every college has its own pros and cons. Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering has an immensely great alumni network in the country. It is a liberal college compared to other engineering colleges. They are rather flexible with the rules. SVCE’s infrastructure for marine, mechanical and automobile is considered as one of the finest in the state. The faculty at SVCE is highly qualified. They are cooperative as well as supportive. The college is not encouraging when it comes to hosting inter-college cultural and technical fests. Embracing diversity is ideal but the college has strict rules that prevent them from doing so. The opportunities held by students here are terrific but regrettably many are unaware of it. Categories SVCE Course Fee 1.2 - 5.91 lakh Placement Percentage 84% Highest CTC 10-15 LPA Average CTC 5-6 LPA Recruiting Companies Tech Mahindra, Wipro, Amazon, Infosys, etc. SVCE is a highly reputed college and flaunting it is the biggest asset to its students. It is an ideal place if you are considering higher studies. Academics evolves with time which prepares you for the outer world. The syllabus is framed in a way that enhances your skills and abilities for the best of your growth. The decision to opt for SVCE is entirely yours to make.

Ques
Which engineering college is best, Sri Sairam or Sri Venkateswara?

● Top Answer By Abhay Sharma on 23 Jun 21

Ans
Both Sri Sairam and Sri Venkateswara are highly esteemed engineering colleges. According to my sister, studying at Sri Sairam Engineering College, their quality of education is better. The faculty here gives more preference to practical knowledge than theoretical knowledge. The infrastructure is quite decent and placement opportunities are impressive. This college has strict rules and regulations and violations of which would leave you in a difficult position. Mobile phones are not allowed and no leaves are given. Boys and girls are prohibited from speaking to each other. For any violation of rules, you would have to pay a penalty fee. This college encourages less socialization and more focus on academics. Hostel life can get boring at certain points. Categories Sri Sairam Sri Venkateswara Course Fee 2 lakh 3.31 lakh Highest CTC 24 LPA 25 LPA Average CTC 7.5 LPA 8-9 LPA Recruiting Companies Zoho, TCS, Amazon, Infosys, etc. EY, TCS, Accenture, Capgemini, etc. Sri Venkateswara has less rules. They encourage extracurricular activities and act as a platform for the students to enhance their skills. The college is affiliated with Anna University and is liberal compared to other colleges.

● Top Answer By Arjita Majumdar on 01 Jun 21

Ans
Sri Venkateswara Engineering College (SVEC) is better than RMK engineering college around Chennai. One of my cousins being part of the institute has her own opinions regarding the same, let me share some of them which will give you a clear idea.  You will have a good standard of peers that will improve your exposure. It will help in developing quite a number of contacts. If you are planning to pursue your post-graduation, then enroll in SVEC. More than 30% of the students plan it (Post Graduation) early in their career.  In terms of placements, you should possibly have no second thoughts, because SVEC is the best, only after SSN. Besides, SVEC also comes with a brand value that can add up to your exposure.   Placements -  Categories RMK Engineering College Sri Venkateswara Engineering College Placement Percentage 85% 84% Highest CTC 9-10 LPA 15 LPA Average CTC 5-6 LPA 3-4 LPA Recruiting Companies TCS, Wipro, Infosys, IBM, etc. Go Speedy Go, Amazon, Accenture, Tech Mahindra, etc. The only possible downside is that the institute does not usually focus highly on Cultural Fests, unlike when most others do.

● Top Answer By Indrani Bose on 23 Jun 21

Ans
According to my friends studying there, it is a liberal college that allows its students to balance their academics as well as their leisure time. The college is responsible for organizing a number of extra-curriculums and activities in various clubs. Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering provides for students an environment that helps in enhancing their skills and using them to the best of their abilities. The minimum attendance requirement is 80% under an autonomous stream. Attendance below that would require a medical certificate to excuse yourself from the authorities.
