SIT offers MBA, MCA, and 13 M.Tech programs. Candidates seeking admission to PG courses in SIT can apply through PGCET. The basic eligibility criteria for admission to these programs is graduation in the relevant or allied discipline with minimum 50% marks. M.Tech candidates can also apply through a valid GATE score in the relevant field.
Application process for PGCET include filling the online application form on KEA website and online payment of application fees. Siddaganga Institute of Technology Application Process 2023
The process of application varies from course to course. The detailed application process for each course is as follows:
For B.E. Programs:
- Candidates can apply through Karnataka CET by visiting the KCET website.
- The information brochure can be downloaded from the KCET website.
- Candidates are then required to fill and submit the online Application form online after filling all the requisite details as given in the information brochure.
- Payment of application fee can be made online through e-Challan.
- Scanned copies of passport size photograph, candidate’s signature, candidate’s left hand thumb impression and parent’s signature are required to be uploaded.
- Candidates must retain the following documents with them as reference for future correspondence.
- At least three printouts of the finally submitted online application.
- Proof of fee paid
- 2-3 copies of identical photograph that scanned and uploaded on the online application.
- All successful applicants will be issued admit cards for the purpose of CET. Candidates must preserve the Admit Card till the admission in college.
- Outside Karnataka candidates can apply through COMEDK.
Note: The process of application for M. Tech, MBA and MCA course is same as that of B.E. However, candidates must apply through the PGCET link instead of KCET link.
For Ph.D. Programs
- Candidates applying for Ph.D. programs can do so by collecting a copy of the application form from the institute’s admission cell.

Admission to Siddaganga Institute of Technology is through CET, COMEDK, and management quota, quite a smooth process is there for admission in B.E courses but due to various reasons like counseling and other processes it starts late. So it can be started at the correct time.

Remarks:
The process to get into this college or any other affiliated college under VTU is either Comedk or Kcet. If you are a student from outside of Karnataka you have to get through Comedk or management seat quota. The exam and applications all are done by Comedk. But this process is being checked and may be changed in near future as a unified exam for all the students. The cut-off for Computer science and technology was around 6000 rank in 2021.

The student has to qualify the COMEDK exam then the students can apply to the colleges of Karnataka. The application form is available on the website of the Comedk, and from there the students can fill out the form. The reservation benefits are not available for students who are coming from states other than Karnataka. The students here those who are from Karnataka get the reservation benefits as they very much concession in fees The students should be charged fewer fees because the college is not worth that many fees per year.

My CET ranking was 7250 and got a seat in SIT college through CET ranking only in the First round itself. There were 3 rounds while we opted for our desired colleges according to our ranking and category or caste if we applied we will be allotted to the applicable college and if we don't like the allotted college or wanted to try other colleges we can go for the next rounds. I was satisfied with the first round itself as I got a government seat at SIT college Tumkur in the civil engineering department. The government fee was around 50000 and the college administration fee was around 300000 total of 80000 was costed at the time of my study hostel fee was extra for hostel students. There was a reservation according to caste wise I was from the general category soo I didn't get any reservations and scholarship facilities from the government are available for SC and ST category students. The admission process was smooth in our college and it was online through the college website.

Which will be better SIT Tumkur ISE or IIIT Nagpur ECE?
Ans
SIT Tumkur is a decent choice. Both the ISC and CS branch faculties are very well established as compared to the other faculties in the college. The syllabus is also very well updated and is set according to industry standards.
A number of different companies hire students from a number of different branches with decent packages of INR 3 to 7 LPA. Many different companies like TCS, Accenture, Siemens, Bosch, Byjus, etc. visit the college annually.
Lastly, if you want a fair comparison, my advice to you would be to visit both colleges and get in touch with the departments, their students and seniors. You are basically going to invest 4 years of your life here.

Placement- Top companies like Amazon, CTS, IBM, HP, Tech Data, Samsung, Oracle, Microsoft provide the LPU students with various internship and job opportunities. The highest placement package is around 42 lakh per annum and the average range is 15 lakh per annum.
The highest salary package remains to be around 14.2 LPA for Siddaganga students and companies like Cisco, Health-Care, State Street, Juniper Network, Varsa Network and TCS are some of the top recruiters who offer both internship and job opportunities to the students.

Scholarships- LPU seems to provide a lot of scholarships to students who perform well in various categories. Some of these scholarships are LPUNEST, on the basis of national tests, performance in extracurricular activities and so on.
In Siddaganga, a special scholarship is arranged by an institution alumni K.Shyam based on the CGPA and extracurricular performances of the students inside the campus.
Hostel facilities- LPU has separate hostels for boys and girls with excellent accommodation. They provide standard rooms with essentials like Iron bed, table, Almirah, AC geyser and so on. Hostel fee depends on the type of accommodation. For 1 seater apartment the fee is around 168000 per year and for 2 seater apartment it is 119000 per year.
Siddaganga Institute also provides comfortable accommodation for girls. They provide good food for 7 days with one special item once a week. The hostel fee here is relatively less unlike most of the other private universities. The hostel fee here is around 55000-65000 per year and it seems to be changing every year.

Which college should I choose for CSE among KLE Technological University, RNSIT, and SIT (Tumkur)?
Ans
Among the given options, SIT Tumkur is definitely a better option. It offers better placement and exposure as compared to RNSIT and KLE.
KLE isn't ideal when it comes to its location, therefore, I would advise you to not choose it. Since it is located far away from the main city within Bangalore, it gets pretty inconvenient for the companies to show up for placements. This gravely affects the placement scenario. You would as well be devoid of opportunities like off-campus placements, startups, or even as mentioned, transportation.
If you are a North Indian, never choose a college that is located at a far-away destination from Bangalore because of how inconvenient things would get because of the transportation factor.
However, if we talk about SIT Tumkur, the location of that institute is ideal since Bangalore is not that far from it. It is around 80 km away, which boosts the placement stats along with the ranking of that particular institute.
RNSIT is in Bangalore but it is not as good as SIT Tumkur.
