The eligibility is pretty simple you need to have more than 65% in your 12th. The college offers admission through mains, aktu exam as well as direct admission. I took admission through the upcet counselling which was held under the jee mains score also some private admissions were there in my batch actually its a ratio of 85% for counselling and 15% for private admissions seats. For direct admission, you can easily go to the website www.psit.ac.in and apply for enquiry and they directly contact you and give details of the seats admission and fee structure. If you are a local from Kanpur it's preferable to visit the college physically and then apply online because it's more fast and you'll get the advantage of getting the best course.

For getting into B.Tech there are two options, either through UPSEE Counseling or through direct admission. For direct admission, refer to the official website of PSIT and register there. You'll get a call or an email. You'll be called to the college after that with the requested documents. The application starts around August or September (keep checking around that time). Although, I took the UPSEE exam in 2020 and got into this college through its counseling. I got a rank of 1320. Though I was eligible for other colleges too, I chose this as the placements of PSIT were better than theirs. UPSEE happens around June/July every year. It is similar to JEE mains(probably easier than mains). A rank of under 20k would be sufficient enough to get into the computer science branch.

Yes, I gave an entrance exam for admission to this college. The entrance exams include two rounds here when opting for computer science courses. I applied and filled out the application online from the psit site so my exam was conducted online. It was a 1v1 interview with a faculty member.

Admission to PSIT is through counseling based on CUET UG and JEE Main scores for AKTU courses. The institute conducts an aptitude test for admission to other courses. For the remaining programs, merit in the last qualifying exam is considered. There is no improvement needed for the admission process because it is also very good.

I come through the UPTU Entrance exam which was a state-level entrance test for engineering colleges in Uttar Pradesh. I secured a good rank and applied for the Fee waiver seat in the counseling round where I get the opportunity to take admitted to PSIT as a fee waiver student which helps me in the reduction of the course fee as it gets half around 70000. UPTU is a exam which was conductwd every year by Dr Abdul Kalam Technical University(Lucknow) every year intl the month of March. The course for this exam is Physics, Chemistry and Math of 11 th and 12th standard of any education board
