UPTAC Counselling 2023: Admission Process

After going through the details related to the courses and their eligibility criteria required for the UPTAC Counselling 2023, next step is required to be aware of the UPTAC Counselling 2023 Admission Process and its steps:

Step 1: Online Registration, Document Uploading and Counselling Fee Payment

Candidates need to register themselves on the official website- uptac.admissions.nic.in by using their application number and password. Once they are registered, candidates are required to pay the amount of INR 1000 ( which is non-refundable) through online payment mode using a debit/credit card or net banking. Then they need to upload the required documents in the specified format correctly.

Step 2: Online Document Verification of Uploaded documents:

As candidates need to upload all the required documents consisting of their academic and personal details as per the prescribed size format. Once it is done, an SMS/Email will be sent to the registered number and id of the candidate. These documents will be verified by the Central Document Verification Team (this will be done at every round for applied candidates). After verification, candidates can fill in their Choice of Institutions & Branches as per their eligibility and marks.

Step 3: Online Choice Filing by Verified candidates

Candidates whose Documents are verified online will have to fill in their choices of Institution in the order of Priority during choice filling. It is advisable that the candidate must be aware of the institutions available and the course they are providing and try to keep as many choices as possible to have the maximum chances of getting admission.

Step 4: UPCET Counselling Seat Allotment

On the basis of the filled choices of institution, courses, merit list and the availability of seats, candidates will be allocated a seat to their respective program through the UPCET 2023 Seat Allotment Process. Candidates can check their seat allotment result online on their dashboard using their login credentials.

Step 5: Seat Acceptance by Payment of Fees (Freeze/Float RI and R2, Auto Freeze R3)

After getting an allotment to the institution and their respective course, candidates need to select three options to confirm their seat allotment- Freeze, Float and Withdrawal.

• Freeze Option: Candidates can choose to freeze their allocated seat if they are satisfied with the decision.
• Float Option: Candidates can hold on to the allocated seat and ask for upgradation to the next level in this case.
• Withdrawal Option: If the candidates are not satisfied with the allocated seat then they can leave the allocated seat and can choose not to participate in the further UPCET Counselling 2023 process.

To confirm their allocated seat, candidates need to pay the seat acceptance fees and if they don’t pay the fees, the candidate will be considered as Exit from the UPCET Counselling process and will not be considered for further counselling process. The Seat Acceptance fees is as tabulated:

Step 6: Physical Reporting to the Institute (as instructed after the 3rd round result to the candidates)

After submitting the Seat Acceptance Fees and then after all three rounds of UPCET Counselling 2023 are concluded, all the candidates who have been allocated seats or upgraded seats have to report to their allotted college with all the required documents mentioned in the admission process to complete their admission process.

The following documents are required for successfully completing the UPTAC Counselling 2023 Process:

• 10th and 12th Marksheet and Certificate
• Character Certificate from school and college (for PG courses)
• Domicile Certificate of the candidate (if the candidate has passed their qualifying exam from another state then a Domicile certificate of their father or mother will be needed)
• Category Certificate (if required)
• Income Certificate (if applicable)
• Sub- Category certificate (if required)
• JEE Main 2023/ NATA 223/CUET UG 2023/CUET PG 2023 Admit Card
• JEE Main 2023/ NATA 223/CUET UG 2023/CUET PG 2023 Scorecard/ Result
• Medical Fitness Certificate /Undertaking (If applicable)

UPTAC 2023 Spot Round Counselling

After completing the UPTAC Counselling rounds 2023, there will be a UPTAC Spot Counselling process if seats remain vacant even after the last round of counselling. It is conducted in offline mode where candidates need to report to the venue( mentioned on the website) all the required documents and a demand draft in favor of the Finance Officer, AKTU Payable at Lucknow. At the UPTAC Counselling Venue, document verification will be done and then on the basis of their rank secured in the entrance examination, they will be allocated their seat and course in the respective college.

In order to participate in the UPTAC Spot Counselling 2023 process, candidates need to fulfill any one of the following eligibility criteria:

• These candidates should have not been allotted seats in the previous rounds of the UPTAC Counselling 2023.
• Candidates may have been allocated seats by the UPTAC Counselling but they did not confirm their admission.
• Candidates who secured a rank in the UPTAC 2023 but could not participate in the counselling process due to some unavoidable reasons.
