Course Curriculum Overview:

Electrical Engineering is a field with many scopes, including the scope for M. Tech in the future, getting a chance to prepare for Gate, and learning the core dynamics of Engineering. This factor led me to choose this stream in the first place. Also, in B.P. Poddar, in the stream of Electrical Engineering, you will find a gender ratio of 7 :3 (Female: Male) for teachers and 85 % of male students enrolled in the stream. The faculty is very supportive, starting from labs to theory classes. Also, you will find one teacher or the other to help you whenever you need it. Our teachers are a minimum of B.Tech qualified and range up to Ph.D. There is the inclusion of the Smart Teaching method, using both the traditional blackboard, with the white smart board. We are even encouraged to present topics in a ppt as a part of our examination to find our speaking and presenting skills. Overall, there is four 25 marks examination, followed by a semester exam of 70 marks.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Currently, I am in my last semester so it's the best time to write a review. To be very honest my first preference was CSE but my Wbjee rank was 17000 so I didn't get a seat in Cse which is why I took admission in IT. But trust me there is a 0% difference between CSE and IT in terms of curriculum, opportunity, and placement. In my department, there are 120 students(from the 2022 admission batch) in a batch, but in my time there were only 60 seats. Approx. faculty count : (cse 30, IT 15), check the bppimt's official website for exact details about numbers and qualifications.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Theory: We have to take 4 internal exams. For internal exams, FM is 25 and the duration: is 50 mins. And the end sem theory exam's FM is 70 & 5 marks for attendance. Practical: We have to take 2 internal exams. For internal exams, FM is 40 and duration: 1hr 30mins. And the end sem practical exam's FM is 60. If a student studies properly then it isn't so difficult to pass those exams. Undoubtedly I can say that every faculty members are so experienced.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose I.T. because I was always the coder guy from my school days only. So since I had previous knowledge from ICSE/ISC school I chose it. Overall faculty is well-educated PHDs and the student ratio is like 70:30 (boys: girls). Teachers follow the makaut prescribed structure. Provide support materials for help. Term exams were as per makaut system. 4 CAs, and 2 PCAs. It is easy to pass it if you study well before exams.

BP Poddar Institute of Management and Technology: 5 answered questions

Ques
Should I take CSE at B.P. Poddar or go for CSE at Heritage Institute of Technology through the management quota?

● Top Answer By Rohit Singhal on 17 Sept 21

Ans
Heritage would be far better for your career than B.P.Poddar, in terms of educational facilities and campus infrastructure. The environment is good and the members of the faculty are helpful and nice.  I have visited both of these colleges and am familiar with them. If you want to have a fantastic college experience, Heritage would prove to be the best choice for you. It could be a bit pricey if you use Management Quota. However, HIT offers good placement for CSE. In the recent placement drive, the average CTC offered at the institute was 4 LPA and the highest was 16 LPA.

Ques
Which is better, Heritage Institute of Technology or BP Poddar Institute of Management and Technology?

● Top Answer By Devika Batra on 11 Oct 21

Ans
Both the Heritage Institute of Technology and BP Poddar Institute of Management and Technology are technical colleges affiliated to the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT), West Bengal.  Before deciding which is better, let us first understand each college’s pros and cons. Pros Heritage Institute of Technology  Huge campus, serene environment, great infrastructure, great area for hangouts Good faculty and plenty of options to choose your specialization Good placements. There is a high probability that you will end up in TCS BP Poddar Institute of Management and Technology Situated closer to the airport and has multiple transportation options Haldiram’s, Eco Park, CC2, and many other outdoor options are present Placements are decent and many companies such as EY, Bosch visit here for campus placements Ragging is completely absent with some minor “intro” or some small tasks Cons Heritage Institute of Technology The location is the biggest problem as you will not find any public transport nearby. You will have to walk miles to get a small cigarette shop. And forget about dining options and restaurants nearby. BP Poddar Institute of Management and Technology The faculty are decent but you will need the help of lab assistants more often than the professors Fests and other celebrations are not as prevalent as other campuses The canteen is very small Infrastructure is very limited with no playground, no auditorium, and no grand construction Uniform is compulsory Both are equally good colleges and ultimately you will be getting the certificate from the same university with almost the same level of teaching. You will get around a 15% chance of getting a job in a core sector company. So decide for yourself what you want looking at the pros and cons of both the colleges.
