What is the procedure for taking admission in PSIT Kanpur through the UPTU?
Posted On - Jun 22, 2021You can apply for PSIT Kanpur through UPTU counseling. Keep PSIT as your first choice. PSIT also offers a direct admission option. You can choose the direct admission procedure if you aren’t getting the college through counseling. You need to have at least 60% or above in 10+2 in order to get admission.
To get admission to PSIT Kanpur, you can go for either direct admission in PSIT, or go for PSIT College of Engineering (COE). Counseling through UPSEE is also a way you can check out if you want to seek admission. PSIT COE and PSIT have a slight difference in faculty.
The eligibility criteria for direct admission to PSIT Kanpur are as follows.
- A minimum of 60% marks in 10(+2) examinations.
- Scoring a minimum of 50% in the entrance examinations conducted by PSIT. For Pharmacy, the scores in PCB and English will be calculated and for engineering, PCM with English.
- If your scores in the entrance examination are good, you will get the opportunity to choose your preferred stream and also a have reduction in the fees.
You can also try your luck in admission through the counseling process:
- Registration for counseling requires a fee of about 15,000 to 18,000 INR. This money will be added to college fees.
- On the website, go to the ‘Online Choice Filling’ and wait for the counseling rounds. Select your desired college and desired stream.
- If you get your desired college then select your option otherwise go for the second and third round.
- Make sure all the necessary documents are ready.
