Ques

Should I drop a year for the JEE or take IET Lucknow's CSE?

● Top Answer By Navdeep Singh on 26 Jul 22

Ans
Taking IET Lucknow’s CSE will be a better option. In terms of academics and placements, it is an excellent choice. According to IET Lucknow placement highlights, CSE students receive salary packages in the range of INR 5-12 LPA. Top MNCs like Google, Amazon, etc. recruit from the campus drive. Students also perform well in competitive examinations such as GATE, CAT, etc.  You will have the option to prepare for JEE while attending IET as well.

Ques

Can I get an IET Lucknow fee waiver sheet after the 1st round of counselling?

● Top Answer By Yogesh Sharma on 03 Aug 21

Ans
Well, it depends on many factors but most importantly on luck. After 1st round of counseling, you have not been allotted a fee waiver. You are behind a lot of students but those are toppers who hold much better ranks than you. If they have the required rank they may get some better colleges maybe even some NITs. If they leave or shift and you are just below them, then you can get the fee waiver seats after their vacancy. However, you need to have better rankings from your fellow compatriots as well. Otherwise, the next best candidate will be offered the seat.

Ques

Does IET Lucknow take admission through the JEE Mains?

● Top Answer By Yogesh Sharma on 26 Jul 22

Ans
Yes, IET Lucknow takes admission through JEE Main. From 2021 the institute started accepting JEE Main scores. Earlier IET Lucknow admission was done based on USEE scores.  The required cutoff varies depending on branch, category, preference of college, availability of seats, etc. Popular branches such as CSE usually have a higher cutoff requirement.

Ques

What is the cutoff for CS, IT, and EC in IET Lucknow?

● Top Answer By Soham Sharma on 16 Mar 23

Ans
The Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) Lucknow admits students to its undergraduate programs in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Information Technology (IT), and Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) through the Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE). The cutoff for admission to these programs through UPSEE varies each year and depends on several factors, including the difficulty level of the exam, the number of applicants, and the availability of seats in each program. However, based on the previous year's trends, to get admission to IET Lucknow, you would need to score a rank under 1000 (approximately) in the UPSEE exam for CSE, IT, and ECE programs.  It's important to note that the cutoff score for each program offered at IET Lucknow is different, and you will need to check the official website of the institute for the specific cutoff score for the program you are interested in. Additionally, meeting the cutoff score is only one of the eligibility criteria for admission to IET Lucknow. The institute considers other factors such as the candidate's academic performance, the number of applicants for a program, and the reservation policies, among others, for final admission decisions.

Ques

Are sessional papers tough at IET Lucknow?

● Top Answer By Ashita Arora on 02 Aug 21

Ans
One of my cousins is part of the institute and has varied opinions. Primarily, it depends on the faculty of the institute. Other than that, here are things he says are essential to note, The papers usually in ME can be slightly difficult to ace. However, if you are in your 1st year, you should completely avoid copying from your peers. Try maintaining a good attendance score since it will help acquire at least 35 out of 50. EC department can go on to creating trouble. Although, it depends completely on the faculty. For other departments, you should choose to attempt every question instead of skipping them since it might help you achieve marks over 40, with the addition of your attendance. You should always maintain a cool temperament with the faculty. Other than that, always be vigilant. Hope this helps answer your query, wish you all the best!

Ques

How would you review IET Lucknow?

● Top Answer By Amrita Varshney on 07 Aug 21

Ans
IET Lucknow is a famous name in Uttar Pradesh for engineering. It is affiliated with A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University. As one of my friends studied there, I might be able to share his views about IET Lucknow. The college, unlike others, is not very strict with certain rules and regulations. Students are not bound to work on assignments or projects, attend regular classes, etc. If you are interested in doing well in certain exams like GATE, IAS, SSC, PSUs, and others then it is the appropriate place. The college also has a dedicated faculty. They mainly focus on theoretical learning rather than practical. CSE and IT have good placement offers. Very few core companies participate in their placement program. Categories IET Lucknow Lowest Package INR 6 LPA Median Package (UG) INR 15 LPA Highest Package INR 24 LPA Recruiting Companies Amazon, DE Shaw, Global Logic, Barclays, etc. It has a cordial study environment and a decent infrastructure. Overall, the institute is a decent choice for students aiming at learning and developing. It is not too much but not too little also.

Ques

Are there any chances of getting IET Lucknow in the spot round counseling of UPTU for a general candidate?

● Top Answer By Soham Sharma on 16 Mar 23

Ans
It's difficult to predict your chances of getting admission to the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) Lucknow through spot round counseling of UPTU. The spot round counseling is held after all the regular rounds of counseling are completed, and the seats that remain vacant are filled based on the availability of seats and the candidate's rank. The allotment of seats in the spot round is usually based on the candidate's preferences and availability of seats at the time of the counseling. While there is a possibility of getting admission to IET Lucknow through spot round counseling, it depends on various factors, including the number of vacant seats in the institute, the number of candidates appearing for the spot round, and the candidate's rank. However, if you have a good rank in the UPSEE exam and the number of vacant seats is high, your chances of getting admission to IET Lucknow through spot-round counseling may increase. It's important to note that the cutoff score for admission to IET Lucknow may also be lower in the spot-round counseling as compared to the regular rounds of counseling. In conclusion, while there is a possibility of getting admission to IET Lucknow through spot-round counseling, it's difficult to predict your chances without knowing the number of vacant seats and the number of candidates appearing for the spot-round counseling.

Ques

Can I get into IET Lucknow with my general rank of 3348?

● Top Answer By Shubhra Dhanuka on 05 Aug 21

Ans
I have a friend at IET Lucknow and he confirms that with a general rank of 3348, you should get admission at the institute. From what was seen recently a few years back, a big number of seats were vacant in the government colleges. So for this, they did two spot rounds and the students who had their ranks in the 15000s also managed to secure seats for themselves. If this happens in the future, then you can secure seats in Civil or Chemical Engineering with ease in IET Lucknow or any other government college that is under AKTU. Do not keep only IET Lucknow in your sights and also look for other options as well. You can also get admission through category rank or any quota if you have it.
