Students are not bound to work on assignments or projects, attend regular classes, etc. If you are interested in doing well in certain exams like GATE, IAS, SSC, PSUs, and others then it is the appropriate place. The college also has a dedicated faculty. They mainly focus on theoretical learning rather than practical. CSE and IT have good placement offers. Very few core companies participate in their placement program. I have a friend at IET Lucknow and he confirms that with a general rank of 3348, you should get admission at the institute. From what was seen recently a few years back, a big number of seats were vacant in the government colleges. So for this, they did two spot rounds and the students who had their ranks in the 15000s also managed to secure seats for themselves. If this happens in the future, then you can secure seats in Civil or Chemical Engineering with ease in IET Lucknow or any other government college that is under AKTU. Do not keep only IET Lucknow in your sights and also look for other options as well. You can also get admission through category rank or any quota if you have it.
