Likes

They posses a great teaching skill and try their hard to make the concepts clear.
Talking about campus life, social life... its awesome, we have got good friendly teachers nice helping friends, and our canteens are well maintained too...
Also, our college allows us to apply for many types of scholarships like - svmcm, oasis, national merit cum scholarship, etc.

Dislikes

Placement is not so good. on internship opportunities is not also provided.
Fees structure are very bad. if it some low cost then more better for many students.
Hostel facility is not good not bad but mostly it isn't worth it staying in hostel

My experience in College Life

What I Liked

College faculty is average,campus life is good,separate faculty is there for each subject in each department
Both the hostel for boys .There are two hostels for girls
Nivedita hostel and mother Teresa hostel.

What I didn’t like

The mess food of the hostel is not so good.
The library facility of the college is not very good
There is no separate sports field for hostel students

Placement Experience:

The placement of this college is average Rs 500000 per annum. The top recruiting companies which came last year was Tech Mahindra and Wipro. Almost 45% students have got the Placement. I expected more from my college...

Remarks:

The admission process was very difficult. Many documents were required such as Class 10, Class 12 Marksheet, Domicile Certificate which didn't ease the process. One name was written multiple times.. That's it!

What I Liked

yes need improvemnet in placement is good
campus is good and give natural beauty and wonderful
all faculty are good and keep supportive in your carrer

What I didn’t like

nothing to dislike in the bcrec campus of college
infrastructure is good but not help in the other campus
campus is good but also give compare to other college

Placement Experience:

end of the semseter all of us are the people among the get job in good companies and give you great people their is good placement . good teacher in placement also help in people ninty percentage people get placement.

Remarks:

entrance exam through West bengal joint entrance exam.and jee main which is conduct by national test agency.Is having application form And also application fees and the application date is in mid month of july

The college has a beautiful campus having flower plants

Review of bcrec

What I Liked

I like the campus area and infrastructure of the campus.it has many sports but karate is followed very passionately by the seniors and juniors.

What I didn’t like

It has location in village area.the transportation is available but it is very costly.

Placement Experience:

The student of the final year which is 4th year is eligible for placement. Internship opportunities are given to the student of 6 th semester and it is beneficial for their c.v. the main focus of this college is placement otherwise good academics is found everywhere.

Remarks:

I was admitted in the year 2023. We got admission through the wbjee exam portal after that wbjee counseling was held. The residents of west Bengal were given reservations in the selection of good branches like cse and the information technology branch.

My experience in hostel life in college

What I Liked

I got good friends in my college whom I can take help anytime and enjoy. The faculties are good and friendly.
The classroom is well maintained and cleaned everyday.
The faculties show us real life example to understand concepts better.

What I didn’t like

I don't like the hostel of college because the food of mess is unhygienic.
I don't like the infrastructure of the labs because many instruments are defective.
There are no chairs available in the Physics or Chemistry lab.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college depends upon the effort of the students. However, the average placement which college can give is Rs 500000 per annum. But, if we want to increase our package, we have to go to further studies like MBA or M.Tech.

Remarks:

The admission process was very slow and lengthy. First, we have to give WBJEE and rank good. Unfortunately, my rank wasn't that good. So I have to take admission in this private college. First WBJEE rank comes in the official website, then counseling date comes where we need to select our desired branch and college. Then a date is decided when we visit our college and take admission. In short many documents are required such as CBSE class 10, CBSE class 12, Domicile, Birth Certificate, etc.

Well, according to the information I have received from my friends enrolled in both the institutes, I would say that both of these institutes are not that good.

The teaching methodologies used are extremely bad, and the alumni network of both colleges is utterly awful.
If you have a good academic record and are good at understanding concepts then do not consider these colleges.
I believe that you should work on yourself and improve your skills and knowledge to become an engineer.
You can opt for a drop year and prepare for the JEE Examinations of the following year.
Study for a minimum of 3-4 months so that you can at least be eligible for admission at a decent institute, better than these two.

Ensure that you have the appropriate knowledge from the 10+2 education, before applying for admission at colleges. I hope that these suggestions would help you in creating better prospects for your career.

Which is better for CSE, Dr. B.C. Roy Engineering College or UEM Kolkata?

One of my cousins is studying CSE at UEM University so I can give you a scenario of UEM University.

Here are a few of the things about UEM Kolkata.

The faculties of UEM Kolkata are good and they also help students.
You will have all the academic exposure here as lots of conferences keep happening at UEM. The academic design of UEM is also good. But semesters are not easy, you have to study hard.
UEM seniors are good. Few of them have created video games for android and built non-framework cars. UEM also started a group where students can build their own cars.

In the table below take a look at the placement scenario of both institutes.
