My experience in College Life
Likes
- College faculty is average,campus life is good,separate faculty is there for each subject in each department
- Both the hostel for boys .There are two hostels for girls
- Nivedita hostel and mother Teresa hostel.
Dislikes
- The mess food of the hostel is not so good.
- The library facility of the college is not very good
- There is no separate sports field for hostel students
Remarks :
The admission process was very difficult. Many documents were required such as Class 10, Class 12 Marksheet, Domicile Certificate which didn't ease the process. One name was written multiple times.. That's it!
Course Curriculum Overview :
Course curriculum is very good. The books which I get from the Central Library is comprehensible, easy to understand due to which U got excellent marks in my last semester. The areas where curriculum needs to improve are make the language simple.
Placement Experience :
The placement of this college is average Rs 500000 per annum. The top recruiting companies which came last year was Tech Mahindra and Wipro. Almost 45% students have got the Placement. I expected more from my college...
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
College fees for first year is 1lakh 33 thousand . College fees for 2nd year is 1 lakh 12 thousand college fees for 3rd year is 80 thousand.Collegs fees for 4 th year is ?80000.other fee like caution money of 2000 and training fee of 1500 is required.
Campus Life :
The campus life is good, infrastructure is well maintained. There are variety of range of books available in the Central Library. Our college is good in extra curricular activities. Many students participate.
Hostel Facilities :
The Hostel facility is horrible. The quality of food is very bad. Most of the food looks unhygienic, I never liked the food. The locality of my room is NST, Durgapur. The registration process for Hostel and Affordability was included in College.
Faculty :
The faculty to student ratio is not maintained properly. The faculty to student ratio is very poor. I try to interact with teachers with interest but unfortunate thing is teachers doesn't seem much interested.

Upon completing their fifth semester, students become eligible for campus placements, which are facilitated at the Career Development Center within the campus premises. If i compre to other government college with placement then in our college placement is not good. In our college need to upgrades placement faculty and process. Name of company visited in our college is LNT, ADANI, TCS, INFOSYS, WIPRO etc.
