Placement Details* The highest package offered is ?15 lakhs per annum by Amazon and Microsoft, while the average package is ?4-5 lakhs per annum by TCS, Infosys, and Wipro, with profiles such as Software Engineer, Data Analyst, Business Analyst, IT Consultant, and more, resulting in around 70-80% of eligible students getting placed. I applied to 5 colleges, including CMR College of Engineering & Technology (CMRCET), and received confirmed admissions from 3 colleges: CMRCET, VNR Vignana Jyothi Institute of Engineering and Technology (VNRVJIET), and Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology (CBIT). I chose CMRCET over the others due to its: - Strong industry connections and placement record - Experienced faculty and research-oriented learning - Modern infrastructure and facilities - Location and accessibility I didn't make it to BITS Pilani and IIIT Hyderabad due to: - High competition and low admission rates - Missing the cutoff scores by a small margin The admission process at CMRCET involves: - Eligibility: 10+2 with 45% aggregate in PCM - Exams accepted: JEE Main, TS EAMCET, and COMEDK - Most preferred exam: TS EAMCET - Cutoffs: Varying cutoffs for different branches and categories - Admission experience: Smooth and transparent, with counseling and document verification
Read Full ReviewFrom the end of the 4year the students get placements.But we can participate in internships by good performance by 3rd year as I saw many of my seniors got internships by 3rd year.But students getting placements is a difficult thing now a days,And coming to cmr it's 60% getting placements.
I have actually applied many colleges in ts hyd from eamcet.But I didn't get seat in any of the colleges I preferred in the first 3 rounds.My luck is that at my time I have another special round in eamcet counselling and I selected cmrk and I got seat.After the allocation of seat came to college submitted my certificates and joined into the college.

Gokaraju Rangaraju Institute of Engineering and Technology (GRIET) provided Information Technology (IT) under the Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) program. GRIET is ranked 37th in all India and 6th in Telangana in ‘India Private Higher Education Rankings 2019-20’ by Education World. CMR College of Engineering & Technology (CMRCET) offers Computer Science & Engineering under B.Tech degree. It is ranked 251 for BTech by NIRF 2020.
Admissions:
- There are 120 seats available for Information Technology specialization under B.Tech.
- Students wishing to enroll in either of the courses are required to take the Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) conducted by the State of Telangana.
- 70% of the seats are based on the rank assessment of EAMCET and the remaining seats are reserved for management quota in both colleges.
- The annual tuition fee is Rs. 1.22 lakh in GRIET and 1.0 lakh in CMRCET.

GRIET-
- The highest package of GRIET is around 41.6 LPA and the lowest package is approximately 5.05 LPA.

- IBM, Tata Consultancy Services, Wipro, Teach Aspect, Hexagon, Cognizant, Atos Syntel, Larsen Toubro are a few profound companies that visit the GRIET campus annually for IT course placements.
CMRCET-
- A total of 137 students of the CSE department were offered jobs at CMRCET.
- The highest package was from Duta Software India Pvt Ltd (10 LPA) and the lowest was 1.80 LPA in CSE, CMRCET.
- Reliance, Invesco, Infosys, Travel Tripper, Amazon, Zensar, Wipro are some well-known companies that offer placements to students of the CMRCET CSE course.
Choosing which college is better is often challenging. CSE as a course has great scope for programming, developing, networking, and testing in the machine-centric future. IT as a specialization is quite diverse; and job opportunities with network security and data analytics companies as well as government jobs can be easily gained.
