Well, every student boosts his/her college. I have heard people saying BIT Sindri is good. But don’t trust these emotional reviews blindly. Try to judge the institute based on statistics and facts.
The condition of college may improve in 3-4 years if things go accordingly. But at present, it is not a good option.
To get admission in a BTech course at BIT Sindri, you need to take JCECE i.e. Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination. You can apply for the institute on the basis of your rank. Based on the course, the required cutoff differs. If you have scored above the required cutoff, you can apply to your preferred branch.
For core branches BIT Sindri is better. CUSAT focuses on branches such as Environmental Science, Marine, etc. CUSAT fees are a little higher. If you aren’t getting your choice of branch at BITSindri, you can choose CUSAT.
BIT Sindri fees are economical. It has a good student culture, the seniors are very helpful. BIT Sindri placements are excellent. During the recent placement drive, students received an average CTC of INR 4.51 LPA. While the highest CTC offered was INR 10 LPA.
You should get admission to BIT Mesra. It has better recognition in the industry. During 2022 placements, more than 235 recruiters took part in BIT Mesra placements. The institute boasts of an average CTC of INR 13.01 LPA. The highest national CTC offered last year was INR 58.33 LPA.
Being a regional college, BIT Mesra has an excellent student crowd.
Among these, NIT Jamshedpur is better. Being a centrally funded institute it offers better facilities. It has better brand recognition and industry presence. NIT Jamshedpur placements are excellent. The 2022 batch received an average CTC of around INR 13.2 LPA. Goldman Sachs, TATA Group, Amazon, etc. were some of the major recruiters to take part in the campus recruitment.
Compared to BIT Sindri, NIT Jamshedpur will offer you better academics, facilities, and placements.
There is no official cut-off list for BIT Sindri. The last CML rank is based on a lot of factors which is the level of JCECE that particular year, counselling schedule etc, below table is an approximation of the cutoff rank for BIT Sindri.

Why you should not choose BIT Sindri :
That's all about BIT Sindri. Honestly speaking, Personality development and industry exposure are much better at VIT.
There is no such thing as placement strategy but talking of placements, very few students of the civil branch are interested in it.
India is a developing country and there is a huge requirement for Civil Engineers and will be in the coming future for Infrastructure development. So, it would be good, just stay focused on the core subject.
