Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who possess one of the following qualifications shall be eligible to apply for admission to Bachelor of Clinical Optometry (B.Optom.) degree course:

A person who has passed 10+2 examination in Medical group in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English with an aggregate of 45% marks for General category and 40% marks for Scheduled Castes (SC) candidates conducted by a recognized Board/Council/University.
A person who has passed 10+2 Vocational Course (Ophthalmic Technique) in their respective elective subjects and English with an aggregate of 45% marks for General category and 40% marks for Scheduled Castes (SC) candidates conducted by recognized Board/Council / University.
A person who has passed Part –I of B.Sc medical with an aggregate of 45% marks for General category and 40% marks for Scheduled Castes (SC) candidates from any institution recognized by Panjab University.
A person holding qualification of diploma in Ophthalmic Techniques (2 or 3 years) must have obtained with aggregate of 45% marks for General category and 40% marks for Scheduled Castes (SC) candidates from any recognized Board/Council/University shall also be eligible provided he/she joined diploma course after passing 10+2 exam with science (physics, chemistry & biology).
